Question about Televison & Video

Sanyo 32inch CRT TV Model 3275U = NO POWER

Pushed the ON button on the remote control and heard a popping sound.
Is there a fuse inside? There is no power, no sound.

If there is a fuse, where is it and how do I replace it?

Thanks,

Dady

The popping sound you heard is the relay going to ocsillate but can't continue. It is unlikely to be just a fuse since as you posted, the red light is lit. Other than a reset (unplug for some time/hours), there is no user easy diagnosis/repair. DIY (do-it-yourself) would require at least some familiarity with electronic components and circuitry, use of a DVM and a soldering iron and access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Perhaps it would be to your advantage to seek the services of a qualified professional to save you time and effort.

RM-GA014 remote can't switch Sony Bravia 46" tv on

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if the TV does not respond to the supplied remote control.
  1. Remove the batteries from the remote control.
  2. Press each button on the remote control twice.
  3. Make sure none of the remote control buttons are jammed.
  4. Install fresh batteries into the remote control. IMPORTANT: Make sure the batteries are inserted in the (+ and -) direction shown inside the battery compartment.
  5. Make sure nothing is blocking the Infrared (IR) sensor on the TV. IMPORTANT: Some locations can interfere with the IR signal from the remote control. Glass enclosures, as well as fluorescent or halogen lights, may prevent the IR signal from reaching the TV.
  6. Point the remote control at the IR sensor of the TV.
  7. Press the POWER button and other buttons to test TV operation. IMPORTANT: Do not hold down the POWER button too long. Doing so may prevent the remote control from operating the TV.
    NOTES:
    • If some of the remote control buttons operate the TV but others do not, the remote control may need replaced.
    • If all of the remote control buttons work, no further troubleshooting is required. Otherwise, continue troubleshooting below.
  8. Try using the remote control at varying distances from the TV. IMPORTANT: Using the remote control too close or too far away may prevent the IR signal from reaching the TV.
  9. Turn the Light Sensor setting to OFF.
    1. On the TV itself, press the HOME button on the TV.
    2. Using the up arrow or down arrow select Preferences.
    3. Press the INPUT button.
    4. Press the up arrow or down arrow to select ECO.
    5. Press the INPUT button.
    6. Use the up arrow or down arrow to select Light Sensor.
    7. Press the INPUT button.
    8. Press the up arrow or down arrow to select OFF.
    9. Press the INPUT button.
  10. Power reset the TV.
  11. Make sure the TV has the latest system software (firmware) update installed, if applicable.
The troubleshooting steps above should resolve the issue. If you completed all the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required or the remote control may need replaced. Contact the Customer Experience Center at (239) 768-7547 to speak with a service representative for further assistance.

I need the code for the Universal remote control for a Sanyo TV

1. You always need to include ALL model numbers with your problem description, otherwise no one can help you effectively.

2. There is no such thing as a 'universal remote' since the coding is totally non-standard and may differ from one model to the next even within one manufacturer's current lineup.

3. You may be able to find a listing of models for a given remote here:

Remotes

When thinking about buying a 'universal' remote, get the model number and check the maker's website for a listing of models the remote can control.

Finally, if the remote is older than the set you want to control, it probably won't have the necessary codes to control all of the device's functions if any at all.

My Maganasonic TV MT 5524, it does not function

If the remote has never worked, replace the batteries, then you may have to check the programming code (which is abundant on the internet). If it USED to work, but doesn't anymore, you or someone/something else ma have pushed the "DVD", "STB", or "AUX" button. Push the "TV" button and give it a shot.

Doesn't turn on remotely or manually,

If this is a standard tv, then there are two bad caps. Near the powerline regulator on either side. Look for a 160volt 1MF cap and on the other end a 160volt 4.7MF cap. I don't know the particular model, but you will be searching the horizontal deflection. Is the fuse good? If not you will have to replace the horizontal transistor and look for two, 2 watt resisors at 12ohms and a new fuse as well. Can you do it?

Find the codes andm menue for remote uRC3605B00 remote control

http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/codes-tv.shtml#tv

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or yourbrand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, trythe following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when youreach the end of all the codes for this device type.
  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

2. Learn the buttons from the original

Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing thefollowing steps.
  1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice.
  2. PRESS 9 - 7 - 5, the red LED will flash twice.
  3. PRESS the DEVICE key where you wish to learn the function. The next 3 steps must be completed within 10 seconds.
  4. PRESS the button that will receive the learned function, the LED will flash rapidly.
  5. PRESS the button on the original remote to be learned.

Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keysor press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock inyour new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat stepsthrough 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the newfeature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned
