Question about Sony VAIO FXA63 Notebook
I wanted to install an updated version of an architectural program. Both the new and older versions run with Quick time. Now, after uninstalling the older version, Quick time refused to uninstall. The new version has refused to run with the unistallable Quick time, and even efforts to reinstall the older version refuses to run with the same Quick time. All my efforts are useless now, I have runout of ideas, my buddies do not seem to have a solution rather than mere speculation and repetation of what I have already done. I am stack as I cannot work without this program. Please help !!!!
In some cases, when removing a program it leaves behind certain files, you need to go into the C drive under programs and delete the file manually, or it may also leave a few threads in the registry, to get rid of them you can go to filhippo.com and download CClaener. CCleaner is a very useful program that cleans up various unused and unneeded items in your computer, helping it to run smother and faster. Recap, download and run CCleaner (both regular run and registry), then check the C drive for any Quick time leftovers, then run a search from the start menu (keyword Quick time). If the search finds anything write down the path as to where they are and manually delete them. If the search doesn't find anything, then install the newer Quick time. For future reference, when updating Quick time, you don't need to remove the old, the update or newer version will do this for you in the download process.
