Speakers cut off when bass goes up...

I have a 1995 chevy S-10 pickup, with a SONY XPlode cd player, two 1100w 10" sony XPlode woofers hooked up to one l000w sony XPlode amplifier, It was working wonderful for more than 3 months til today. When I turn it on at a low volume it works fine, but when I pump the volume up to more than 20 on the radio, the woofers cut off with any kind of bass, the amplifier protection light (the little green light) doesn't turn red. When I turn it down below 20 again, the sound comes back uninterupted. Turned the radio off and when I turn it on the same problem happens again and again. I already checked the two 30 fuses from the amplifier and the one that goes to the battery (they're fine). The remote turn on wire is fine, as well as the power, ground, and RCA cables. I would appreciate your help. Thank you. i have a 96 gmc safari and i have two 15" kicker CVR running on a rockford p600 amp with a sony explod deck the first 3 or 4 months i got it was going good but now every time i turn it up my bass cuts out then when i turn it down it goes back to normal i checked all my wires i put 4 gauge ground and power wires to a 1.5 farad cap to my amp and it still does it then i added another battery but it still cuts out HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

Can I hook two 12in. Subs up with a 1100w amp. Sony explode, pioneer subs

Yes....hook one up to the left channel and one up to the right.....once everything is wired up.....keep gain down on amp and turn stereo on.....turn up stereo with amp gain down to right before high end speakers start to distort......then while its playing, turn amp gain up about 1/2 way. close your trunk and hop in drivers seat....sound gd????? You might have to adjust level on amp and bass on head unit to taste.....Be careful subs are only rated around 300 watts continuous.....dont want to blow luck....

Sony XPlode Amp XM-2150GSX, whats setoff sensor mean? Amp keeps cutting out!

you have a short or your over heating. or more lkely bad ground or you bridged your subs and you should not have that what will give you those erros. OH most common tho is the remote cable from the cd player is loose or the rca cables are loose.

Ive got a prob with my xplod subwoofers, Any info???

It's your amp. unplug the rca's and that should narrow it down for you.One at a time. If it sounds like a bass drumroll, then like i said, it's the amp.

Speakers cut off when bass goes up...

it might be that your wires from your amp to your subs are too thin. since they were relatively new the first three months, they were probably undamaged, but after pushing them too much, they probably have broken wires, and can't get enough power to the subs when turned up, i suggest getting thicker wires before investing in a capacitor, it could save you money.
