I'm going to guess that you have a Sony set based upon the circuit designations that you listed. If that is so, you really don't need the entire module. You will need to replace the transistors and a resistor. Possibly a cap or two will be required as well. Please post the model number and further details shall be provided.

Power supply has a ticking ticking blank screen no pix or sound

Sounds like a shorted H-out, likely due to a bad Flyback. That "chirping sound" is from the o0vercurrent protection in the power supply due to a short. Perhaps it is also a bad capacitor in the supply causing overvoltage shutdown too.

I press the power button and the tv comes on for a second and shuts off

Either a short or a power supply problem IF THE MODEL NUMBER LISTED HERE IS CORRECT.

If model number here correct the most common problem is the convergence circuit--a short there does and can happen--only simple way to know easily is to UN-solder both the chips this set uses for that and see if set comes on--if it does it will look bad but you know you need to replace both chips.

I attach a photo of these type of chips--looking at them will not tell you if they are bad, they have to be (18 pins each) unsoldered and set powered on to know.

The tv wont power on at all

Your TV Won't Turn On
If your TV won't turn on, you should check the power cord. Make sure that it is securely in the wall plug. Sometimes the power cord has burned out and needs to be replaced. You may also want to check the batteries in the remote to make sure that they are working properly. If otherwise
Common problem with this TV is the power supply module.
Check the power supply; look for bad caps with leaking/bulging tops, check to see if you have standby +5vdc at the power supply connector, the front red indicator will not be on if you do not have this +5vdc standby voltage due to shorted out power transistor and zener diode, if otherwise, Power supply board just die.It can be dead at anytime.Tries websites, to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help to solve the problem.....

I have an RCA tv that when you turn it on the green button stays on for 10 seconds then goes out it does this 3 times then stops. Picture never comes on

it is going into shutdown, alot of things can cause this, bad solder connections on the power supply/sweep module, shorted flyback and/or horizontal output transistor, could even be shorted picture tubes. most likely it's bad capacitors and solder connections on the power supply/sweep module, needs at least some minimal soldering skills.

RCA P61960 projection screen. no picture, no sound. tries but shuts off.

It will depend on the Chassis number you have but it sounds like a bad Deflection module or a bad Convergence power supply module. The Convergence Power supply module is on the left looking from the back mounted above the deflection module. On newer models the picture tubes can short and put these sets into shut down mode ( Three Trys). Start by unplugging the CRT modules off the neck of the tubes one at a time. If it doesn't come on you have eliminated the tubes. There will be a Red and Black set of wires from the deflection module to the convergence power supply module. Unplug it. If it fires up then it's the convergence power supply module. If not it will probably be the deflection module. The flayback transformer is a common problem along with several bad caps towards the front of the board. Let me know if this fixes it.

No picture

forwarded from someone named dillin Your TV has a short in the power supply, and or the sweep drive, sweep power supply,or the convergence module on this set will also kill the set from time to time. If you have a service manual, and a multimeter there with you and you know how to troubleshoot solidstate printed circuit board, the first thing to do would be to get a servoice manual, located the convergence module, disconnect all the plugs to the module. Next pull off all trhee picture tube sockets off the picture tubes and lay them aside, making sure they do not touch anything.. Plug in the set. If it comes on with sound, you most likley have a bad convergence module. Here are the spects and part numbers. Part Number: BP95-00415B, Description: ASSY SUB PCB-CG MOD, Stock Availability: Item usually ships in 5 business days, Price: $87.02. you get it here at,enter your model number If the set does not come on then your going to need to trouble shoot the sweep and main power supply's. I have had in this model the Hi voltage block cause this set to go bad once . If you have no electronic troubleshooting skills, Play it safe and call in a tech to assist you in this repair. Good Luck, and let know how you made out.
