Maybe your screen is bad.

Try another monitor connected to the laptop and see if it is clear. If it is clear then your monitor is bad. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the laptop.

The video will show on most systems when you reboot without you having to do anything. Some systems will require you to hit the FN (Function key) + F1 thru F12. Hold down the FN key then hit the correct key for displaying on the monitor (F1 thru F12). The correct key will normally have CRT/LCD on it or it will have the icon of a display.

When I turn camera on, the screen is full of pixels; also the same when viewing images

2 things could be fault here. If you are able to goto a menu setting and still have pixel issue, then the video interface for the display is damaged. Not usually worth repairing. If the menu shows clear, then try to take a picture, and use a computer to view the picture (USB cable, or remove the memory card). If the picture shows pixels, then the image sensor is bad, and almost never worth repairing unless high end camera and under warranty.

Hitachi CPS-220 is saying 'RGB is out of range' when connected to PC.

This would indicate that the display settings on the PC are outwith the acceptable range of the projector.
To solve this, right-click on a clear part of your PC desktop and select "Graphics Properties" (in Vista). You then need to adjust the display settings. That is a very old projector which will accept a maximum screen resolution of 1024 x768 pixels. Try changing that 1st. If it doesn't work, keep that screen resolution and also adjust the refresh rate in Hz until you get an image.
The native resolution of that projector is SVGA (800 x 600 pixels).

Monitor displays breifly then goes to blank screen

If tried the monitor on two other computers with the same result -- definitly your monitor is faulty. Take it to the repair shop. To make double sure, run your computer with another monitor. If everything is fine now; you can blame the monitor.

Picture, which ever is the size,is not showing clearly. It is showing like, for eg. if we insert a small picture as desk top image by making it extra large, then we can see each pixel of the image right?...

Firstly a picture for the desktop should be at least 200-600KB in size or you will get pix elation problems. Make sure your color is set to max. Control Panel---->Display---->Settings---->Make sure the color settings are set on the highest level. The less the KBs the poorer the picture quality will be. A picture in MBs will look real sharp at any size.

Desktop scree showing white bright spots

Hi,

The bright spots which you are seeing my be the failed pixels on the screen.

Once connect the external monitor to the notebook and check the display on the external display.

If you don't have external monitor, then restart the notebook and Press F10 or F2 key to Enter into BIOS. If the screen is same with bright pixels in the BIOS screen, then the it is confirmed the issues is with bad pixels.

If your notebook is under warranty, then HP will arrange for mail-in.

Note: There is Pixel policy from HP, go through thebelow URL:
