I have a pfaff 4.2 quilt expression brand new but cant make it work. The thread in the bobin keeps jamming? What cani do

thread jams or breakage generally points to incorrect thread tensions
read the hand book and adjust accordingly

Have needle heating the house of the bobbin case on pfaff 1222e

Rabi. Do you mean Hitting on the bobbin case/shuttle? That is a timing issue.

My pfaff 1222e isn't working the motor runs but the needle doesn't move ~ the knob at the end of the machine won't turn at all

Check for thread jams... hopefully that's the problem and not a bent shaft in the thing.

Hobbylock 797 how to thread

The hobbylocks all thread in much the same fashion.  There is a diagram for a four thread hobbylock on this website.  It would be better if you found a Pfaff dealer to show you as it is quite complicated.

Once you have it threaded, always cut the old threads at the spool and knot new ones on and pull through.  You will have to thread the needles as the knots will not pass through but it does save an awful lot of frustration when needing new colours on the spools.

How do I tighten the tension on the bobin thread I am quitiing with invisible thread on the top and dark blue on the bottom, the bobin thread shows. I don't want that

you can either increase the bottom tension or reduce the top tension .. you will notice a little screw on the bobin case ... that screw adjusts the force on a small flat spring which provides the bottom tension (the thread goes under the spring when properly threaded) .. .. tighten that screw a little to increase bottom tension .. you can pull thread thru the bobin case to get a feel for how much tension you have ... you dont have to turn the screw very far to make a significant difference .. try just 1/4 of a turn at a time .. remember where it was originally set so you can put it back when you are finished with your present project .. the greater the bottom tension the less bobin thread will show at the top ... if you get the tension too high then you might see some puckering as you sew ..

Machine has seized

Lower the presser foot lever. This machine winds the bobbin when the lever is raised to it's highest position and it locks the rest of the machine. If that isn't the problem, then you probably have a thread lock, which is a piece of thread stuck in the hook assembly. This can be removed by rocking the hand wheel back and forth until it is free.Be sure and oil the machine before you use it since it has been sitting for so long.

PfaFF 1222e timming is off

Setting time isn't as simple as it sounds. You'd have to follow a checklist first before you can do the setting. I could tell you but it is just too long to upload and don't know how I can post the img's. So my best advice is to buy the factory or generic repair manual.
