Question about Video Game Consoles
Hey steph 1,
According to information provided by the manufacturer, you may see one flashing red light on your Xbox console if there has been some kind of hardware failure. This failure may have occurred in the console itself or an external accessory, so it's recommended that you disconnect all accessories - including your controllers, hard drive and memory units - then restart the console to see if the problem persists. If disconnecting all of these external devices resolves the problem, then the hardware failure is with one of those accessories.
Please keep in mind that this only applies if there was no error message accompanying the flashing red light. If a numbered error message also appears, you may wish to refer to Microsoft's online support database for more information:
There you should be able to find links to pages with troubleshooting steps you can take for the most frequently encountered error messages. Additionally, remember that you can always contact Microsoft directly at their toll-free hotline for further assistance: 800-4-MY-XBOX (800-469-9269).
Hope this helps you out.
