My center console auxiliary box on my 2007 xle camry will only open partway. I suspect that something fell behind it and is blocking the lid from completly opening. Is the an easy way to remove the lid without breaking the plastic so that I can check behind it
This is a known failure item. Take it to a dealer & have them replace it under warranty. I personally have changed 20 or so. The replacement boxes seem to have been upgraded, and do not display this issue any longer.

Yes, we do! A key ring with 2 keys, one biggish, fell down the back and then dropped to a great depth by the sound! Toyota Canada and our local dealer where car was bought were not interested; will take about 40 minutes to retrieve we were told. Pretty expensive keys?!
