I'm also trying to convert a charger from 110v to 240v. That circuit diagram would be useful, if you could email it to me.

Hi, I read here that there is a schematic for a DW9116.
Would it be possible to get a copy of it emailed to me?
    Thanks all.

Have a look here, you need to change 4 components to convert a dewalt 110v charger to a 220v charger http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.zuojiaju.com%2Fthread-13314-1-1.html&act=url

I want to change 120v charger to run on 240v.What components have to be changed?

Can't be done.
Even if there was a safe way to put power to the neutral wire, the fact is you would still be running more than twice the power through it, and it would blow up. It would get much hotter.
Nor would the charger put out 7.2 to 18 volts any more.
It would put out over twice that.
The only way it could be done is if the unit was intended to also be run on 240 volts, and had a European selection setting switch.

Hi. I have a charger for 18v Dewalt Li-Ion (dc9130 120v 60hz) and I'd like to find a circuit diagram so I might be able to convert it to use with 240v 50hz. So I probably need the diagram for the 240v one...

most chargers will fuction on 240/50 hz, look closely at the writing on the charger, it may say. I have laptop chargers and have used the overseas with no problem, that being said, you might try contacting dewalt and asking them if you can do it. Like I said, it probably already will work without doing anything. i have seen some devices (amplifiers mostly) that have a switch on the bakc to switch voltage, ( I don't recall ever seeing a switch to change line frequecny though), hope this helps a bit

Can you put a aussie 240 volt plug on an US battery charger

Look at the specs on the label, if it says that the charger is capable of taking a 240v input then you can change the plug and use it at 240v with no problem. If it says 120v then you won't be able to, you'll want to use a transformer or some other 240 to 120v supply.

I am from Israel and our main supply here is 240volt . I bought a BOSCH 36volt drill kit from USA and I am interested to make changes in the charger in order to fit our supply .

look for a travel converter or 240v to 110/120v converter usually the adapter will plug into ur outlet and the charger[or whatever] plugs into the adapter and can convert the power down to the lower i have used mine every time i go to europe the adapters cost between 10 and 15 dollars mine is a one piece multi-use 8 different outlet designs- its easier than rewiring the charger

Dewalt charger

Ok, for easy way, you can just put a 1~2A diode in series of the input 240v power wire, so the after voltage would be around 120v, but for precaution it is better that you put two diode in series, it will give you same result. In addition, I have already tested it on a similar charger, it works fine.
p.s: I do have a similar one that is also 110v, I compared it with other 240v one. They worked same.
