When using Toast 9 to make a mixed music cd with crossfades, there is a click at the point where the crossfade is made. Is there anything that can be done to eliminate that noise?

The effect(s) that you're using are interfering each other. You can try with changed effects.

For more detailed support regarding this you should go through the Online Help of Toast9.

HOw do you use the crossfader if all your music is coming through one port???

The crossfader is to gently fade from one source to another. If you only have one, the crosfader isn't useful... it would act like a plain fader with one side being dead and the other at full volume.

I suspect one end of the crossfader pot has broken from the element. The fader probably costs less than $5.

You likely will have to remove all the knobs and some screws to seperate the board with the fader from the front panel so you can replace the fader.

VERIFY the pot is bad with an ohmmeter before dis-assembling however.

You MAY be in luck. It looks like the cross fader has a connector which MIGHT allow you to remove it or certainly only a small board for replacement, seeing these take abuse.

It appears that the cross fader is a dual 100K type B taper.

u should b able to use it so long as you change the mode from stereo to split, then you can just use the panel at the bottom that says "crossfader:" :P

My Behringer DX626 Mixer got beer spilt on it, and i got it back from repairs today, but it seems as channel 2 / the crossfader still doesnt work. e.g i have crossfader in the middle, and both channel 2...

sounds like the beer short circuited the equipment, the people who tryed to fix it didnt do a good job seems like, try taking it apart an use a cue tip an find any beer fragments that could remain in the unit, that mite be the problem

Whats a crossfader

The cross fader switches the source from one input to the other input. D.J.'s use them to fade from one song into the next one they are going to play when using 2 different turntables or 2 different cd players..

You did say in your question that you needed a crossfader.

Hope this helps Brittany.

It does not appear to have a crossfader

Check this link for a closer look at the mixer. You can click the "larger image" link and get a really good look at it. Unless one of the knobs are a crossfader, but I always seen sliders as a crossfader. At least you can see it better here.
