Question about Palm TX Handheld
Same happened to my 3 month old TX. I just recharged it, and all was OK! Sounds strange at first, but in my hometown, it is very humid, so maybe it got some moist inside and that caused some variations in the power or battery or voltage... dunno, maybe you need some cleaning, or try to calibrate while plugged.
Hope to be useful!

I've had two TXs with serious calibration drift - both of them got to the point where I couldn't get past the target (calibration) screen. I've gotten one fixed - new digitizer from usedpdaparts.com (and had them do the work as well). My mom also went to them. It's the only solution I know of (and a lot cheaper than a new TX!).

The only other option is to backup the palm, delete all program files, reinstall the software from CD. Calibrate the screen.
Do you have the touchscreen protectors on you screen?

I,d suggest that you may have a sticking Button/Switch.
It appears that, another command is being constantly requested by the PDA. first check the battery regarding the amount of charge being held, and for how long. replace battery if discharging.
then i,d suggest having the PDA Serviced, constant usage of these with sweat/food particles/general dust. can cause a button to stick/jam. for example the power on/off or volume up/down button (s) may be making a constant contact, rather than make/break.
