Question about Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Full Version for PC

Microsoft Outlook. Problems openning blocked attachments

We are running a new version of outlook, version 12 I think. Upon sending a .mdb file outlook has blocked the attachment. I have looked the net for a solution and found a possible way through the registry. Ihave tried this but when the last part is to be accessed get an auto discover icon and not the security one that is suposed to be there. This maybe because the info given is for earlier versions.

Anyway I have tried this and it does not work, please can you help?
Yours hopefully
Leighton

Before attaching the MDB file to the email - send it to a compressed folder. Right click the MDB file and choose "send to" -> Compressed folder. Then you can drag and drop the compressed folder to the email - which should show as a zip file. this is a compressed file which "should" email without any issues.

Problem with Microsoft Outlook 2007

As the issue happens during sending and/or receiving of emails, the usual suspects are having a virus scanner installed which integrates itself with Outlook or having a corrupt srs-file(srs stands for: Send Receive Setting).
The solutions in this case are quite easy;
§Disable your virus scanner's integration with Outlook
This is a recommended procedure anyway, even when you don't have the error. For more background information about this see: Disable virus scanner integration?
§Reset your srs-file
The srs-file contains the settings that you set via the Send/Receive dialog in Outlook (CTRL+ALT+S). To reset it, simply rename it to .old when Outlook is closed. For more information and step-by-step instructions see: Cannot Edit Send/Receive Settings
Also you can use these steps:
Go to C Drive> Program Files> Microsoft Office> Office 2007. After doing this you will see the PST files. Right click on it and go to the Properties and then select the Compatibility tab. Click on it to clear down all the Compatibility Mode Check Box. After doing so, click on Apply and then press OK. Restart the computer and your problem is sorted out.
If it useless use special tool.

I have made an powerpoint presentation.I want to send it as an email.but when I click the send option.it doesnt get sent.what can be the possible problems? I go to microsoft power point.Select the file for...

Because you must use another program to send it - like Outlook.
Just do it the correct way: save the ppt file on your pc, close PowerPoint, open your mail program (Outlook or whatever) , compose a new mail , attach the ppt file to it and send the message to its destination.

I can't send emails with attachments using outlook 2007

Please check the size of the attachments and the extension of them. Outlook does not allow any .exe or any programs as an attachment.

Outlook 2007 not starting. Error message says corrupted file. Run Scnpst.exe.

As an old Outlook user (for over a decade). I ever met similar error with my Outlook PST files before and got it solved with this Outlook PST repair software, the software extracts & restores those inaccessible Outlook items in a new .pst file and enables complete Outlook data recovery. If you want to take the most effective way, then try that program. Hope it helps too with your case.

I am not able to open any attached file in the incoming mail showing error like documents is damaged. But I can open that in direct mail server please help

If you are unable to open any attached file in your incoming mail and are using Microsoft Office 2007, run registry editor (regedit.exe) and scroll to the following location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Security

Copy the contents of the "OutlookSecureTempFolder" key and paste it in the Windows Explorer to open the OutlookSecureTempFolder. Delete all files in this folder and then run Outlook.

This location can not be browsed to and can only be found from the registry as it is different for all users. e.g. for myself it is as follows:

D:\Users\keekus\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\R34DKK8O\

For earlier versions of Microsoft Office, you may find the "OutlookSecureTempFolder" in these locations:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security

or

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10\Outlook\Security

Have you tried the repair option in Outlook? From the help menu, you can choose Detech and Repair. Also, you can choose to repair all of Microsoft Office from the Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, find Microsoft Office, and click change. Then You can choose to repair.

Sending attachments in Outlook 2003

Try saving the document to your local drive first, then send the file as an attachment. When the file is opened from your Outlook, it resides only as a temp file while you are viewing it, then to try to send that temp file, it causes issues with outlook. Save the file first, then send it, but don't try to send the file from the temp view whilst opening the file that is still in another e-mail

Hi Mr jones24,

Try zipping the file before you send it. I think Outlook has spotted that your trying to send a database file and is blocking it. When you zip it, outlook might not be able to peer through the zip file to see. I know it works on older versions of Outlook.

You can use the inbuilt Microsoft "Compressed Folder" zip tool, just right click on the file within windows and select "Send To -> Compressed "Zipped" Folder"

Or you could try 7zip, which is an excellent free zip utility
