I have a beko 37 inch hd ready tv i recently go the sky hd box . my tv only has one hdmi port and i also have a samsung blu ray dvd player which only has a hdmi connection i got a switcher box for the hdmi...

It is possible the hdmi cable that you are using is faulty. The reason I say this is because you have multiple signals that pass through a hdmi cable (19 pins in it means 19 wires to carry signals). The more the cable gets moved and bent, you increase the chances of creating a short or re-connecting a short if moved from one tv to another. This is the best case scenario as it is easier to replace the cable and less costly. Since you already connected the the dvd directly to the tv, and I am presuming that you have working devices running through the switch and you can eliminate that as the problem. If you do not have working devices on your switch or directly into your tv, and you have tried multiple hdmi cable and still nothing, the hdmi connector on your tv is probably bad and that would be the worse case scenario.

I. Have a panasonic DVD recorder with Freesat HD tuners built in. After a power down at the house the recorder shows F5 108 on the display and the TV screen shows NoDignal. Does anyone have any suggestions...

I had the same problem. The display is simply showing that the unit is tuned to Freesat channel 108. I connected a SCART cable (rather than HDMI) and was able to get an output. I am planning to try a replacement HDMI cable as the video quality is obviously much better than with SCART. I hope this proves to be the problem rather than there being a bigger issue with the box itself. I hope this helps...

I AM TRYING TO CONNECT A DX-UPDVD2 PLAYER TO MY TV. I HAVE DVR FROM CABLE COMPANY THAT IS CONNECTED TO MY TV AND NOT ENOUGH PLACES TO CONNECT DVD TO TV HELP

Hello,
Depending on what type of connection you are using from the cable companies DVR to your TV and what type of connections you have on your TV you can try the following..
1. As your DVD player supports HDMI, component and composite video out, check to see which spare AV inputs you have on your TV and connect the corresponding free input on your TV to the matching connector on your DVD player. You will also need to hook up audio from the player to this AV input on your TV using the options available on your TV (either RCA phono or optical in).
2. If you have no other AV inputs on your TV then buying an HDMI switcher or a component switcher or a simple an RCA phono y cable for composite video will allow you to connect both your DVR and DVD to the same TV input.
Hope this helps.

I cannot hook my dvd and dish network up to the tv at the same time. How can I do this? Samsung series 4+450

I assume that you are dealing with a TV with only one input of a given type. Depending on which input you are sharing, get an appropriate switch (Composite video, component video or HDMI). HDMI switches can be manual or have a remote. For a few HDMI models: http://us.startech.com/product-list/switchers . For some Component video options: http://www.svideo.com/com3.html .

How are you connecting the devices to the TV? Which inputs do you have available on the front, back, or side of the TV?

I hope this helps.

I want to connect two dvd players to my tv can you help

yes i can i dont have all the info i need about your tv so ill give you a couple of ways
if your tv is hd
if tv is hd and dvd has hdmi use hdmi if not use component video cables and if your tv is regular use s-video or yellow red and white(composite cables)
ok first connect the cables from the output section of dvd player and connect the other end to the input on your tv. do the same for the other dvd player as well out in the dvd and in into the tv
select the input number on your tv to watch
if your tv doesnt have enough connections on the back you will need to buy a selector(switcher)from any store carrying electronics
if this is case run the cables out from switcher into tv then on the dvd out from dvd and in to selector
if you need more info let me know your wich situation applys to you and i can clarify

How to Connect HDMI Components with AVR 3805 as Hub

In reference to the comment you added to our chat session:

Just connect your receiver to your TV using the same cable your receiver is currently using to connect to your TV, be it Composite, S-Video, or Component. Just switch your TV to that input when you need to set-up something on the receiver.

Connecting Wii through Component cables and Phillips switcher

I just did some more checking...

When you have the Wii connected to the AV Switch, try turning on the DVD player too, but have the switch set to show the Wii on the TV. It is odd, but that has worked for me.
