I am now using a different camera that has a different default file name. Now, files are not read when i want to print the pictures on my canon selphy. What should be the name of the folder and the pictures? I did not have a problem with this on my canon camera and I am guessing that it has something to with the folder and file name. Can somebody let me know what the folder and file names should be? Thanks.

Canon selphy cp780 when i insert memory card a question mark comes onto screen and doesnt recognise any photos the photos are in jpeg i am using a compatible memory card

Hi,
Are you able to upload the photos to your PC?
If so, transfer them to your PC then format the memory card using your camera or PC, then download the photos back to the memory stick & insert once more into your printer.

Let me know if this procedure resolves the issue.

Best wishes,
Graeme.

How to use the memory card reader

To access the memory card reader without using the software provided, follow the steps below. If no card is inserted, the green light on the card reader will be on.
Insert a memory card.
• Insert the card with the brand name label facing up.
• If there is an arrow on the card, make sure it points toward the printer.
• If needed, make sure you connect the memory card to the adapter that came with it before inserting it into
the slot.
Wait for the light located to the right of the slots on the printer to come on. The light blinks to indicate the memory
card is being read or is transmitting data.
• The printer recognizes one memory card at a time. If you insert more than one memory card, a message appears
on the display prompting you to remove all memory cards inserted.
• If a USB flash drive is inserted together with the memory card, a message appears on the display prompting you
to choose which memory device to use.
When reading of images is complete, the number of photos found appears on the display. Then you can make your selection and print. these are the types of memory card supported by you printer.
xD-Picture Card
• Secure Digital (SD)
• Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC)
• Mini Secure Digital (with adapter)
• Micro Secure Digital (with adapter)
• MultiMedia Card (MMC)
• Reduced Size MultiMedia Card (with adapter)
• MultiMedia Card mobile (with adapter)
• Memory Stick (MS)
• Memory Stick PRO
• Memory Stick Duo (with adapter) or Memory Stick Duo PRO (with adapter)

SELPHY printing too dark

I have some experience with color profiles, after trying to fix this problem by changing the profiles in Photoshop, letting the printer manage color, leting PS to do so, and every possible thing.... I found that increasing brightness, and 2 points of saturation on the printer dialog pretty much prints what you see on the iPhoto screen. I have the Selphy 740 not the ES1, but might be the same....  abee9c5.gif

HP laser Jet 2840

Try using a different Memory card and see if it reads it, if not you might need to replace the memory card reader.
