All photos have a green tinge on them ?

More details about the camera would be amazing, but I venture to guess it's either White Balance that is set wrong, or, less likely, something is wrong with the sensor. Either way, pictures have been already taken could potentially be salvaged through post-production. Picasa, for example, available for free download, offers options to change the tint of the picture or autocorrect contrast.

Best of luck

LCD screen works indoors but outdoors blue/green tinge - have reset defaults

If the pictures taken also have a blue-green tinge, then this sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

Problem with camera OLYMPUS SP 500 UZ

This sounds like a CCD issue in the camera. The CCD is the part in the camera that captures the image (the "digital film") if you will and converts it to a format the camera can read.

When they go bad a lot of times you will see weird colorations and/or stripes, very similar to what you are describing.
You can try eBay for a place to buy, or maybe check the manufacturer.

RED DOT

Hi,

If the dot is not visible in print, but only on the camera's screen, the its only the LCD that is faulty.

If the dot is visible on screens and in print, then yes, it could be the sensor. Try taking pictures without the digital zoom. Chances are the dot is only visible with the digital zoom because the picture is interpolated.

If all else fails, you can try cloning out the spot in an image editor on the computer.
