G'Day To charge your AMT mp3 player you must first plug it into your PC USB port using the supplied cable. Next turn on the player using the sliding switch on its side. The indicator shows the battery is charging, but it is not. To make it charge you have to turn the player off. To do this, hold down the "play" button until you get the "Bye-Bye" message. The screen will go black and the battery will now charge. Do not use the slide swich to turn off!...woozie. Australia
I contacted GPX. It's really easy.
With the left side button in the "off" position, press the "play/pause" button in the center of the circle for 3 seconds. It will then turn on. To turn off, do the same thing, and it will display "BYE" on the screen before powering off.
This was NOT in the instruction manual and they admit this was a mistake on their part.
