I think you have not updated the antivirus virus signature database for many days so this may be the reason you are getting the message like that ....

may be some files of the antivirus got corrupted just try reinstalling & then update .. your problem will surely be solved ...

keep updating your antivirus virus list database atleast once in a month ....
so that you will be protected from the viruses etc ....

any doubts you can reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you

Is there really a Trojan Virus that Microsoft keeps trying to sell me a protective program for $199?

No, Microsoft Windows Defender is free to protect you against any Trojan Viruses! If someone is phoning you, they are scammers. There is also stuff called 'RansomeWare', which is a program you inadvertently execute which puts a message onscreen that you have a virus and have to phone money to get rid of it. Often it is a easy as pressing CTRL, ALT, DELETE and closing it is Task Manager.

Spyware Protection screens keep popping up; saying that the computer is infected with different Trogans and viruses....and also requesting that you activate Spyware Protection to protect your computer. ...

Take note of the exact message you are getting and, preferably on a different computer, enter that message in a search window inside of quotes. The message you are getting is FROM the Trojan; you are already infected and you will need instructions on the removal. Entering the precise message will most likely identify the specific Trojan you have. Worst case, you may have to format your hard drive and re-install the operating system.

Torjan remove virus

Reboot your computer if you have a Mac. Do this by holding down the "Shift" key while the computer restarts itself.

Launch an antivirus program that you should have installed on your computer, such as Symantec's Norton or McAfee. Wait for the program's window to appear, then go to "Disk View." Highlight your computer, then select "Scan/Repair" so that the antivirus can detect the Trojan and trash it.

Exit the antivirus program on your Mac. Restart your computer again to ensure that the Trojan has been deleted. Empty the trash can on your computer once it is back up and running.

Disable the System Restore feature if you're a Windows user. Go to "Start" at the bottom of your screen, then right-click the "My Computer" icon to go to "Properties." Check "Turn off System Restore" under the System Restore tab in the "Properties" window, then select "Apply." Confirm that you want to disable System Restore by clicking "Yes" and "OK."

Update your virus definitions in your antivirus program. Open the program, or go to the website, to download the latest definitions so that you can receive the most recent alerts and keep your computer protected.
Scan your files to detect the Trojan file. Follow the instructions in your antivirus program to delete any suspicious files. You may want to write down the path and file name of the Trojan, which is usually found in the "C:\" hard drive. Then, edit your computer's backup registry by choosing "Start," then "Run." Type "regedit" in the window that appears and click "OK."

Search for the registry entry from which the Trojan derived, which may begin with "HKEY" followed by the file path. Delete the registry entry to ensure that the Trojan is removed. Exit the registry entry, and restart your computer so that the changes can take effect.
Hopefully, it may help to remove Trojan virus from your PC.

I keep getting a virus alert and when I ask to remove viruses it brings me to a page to buy virus protection. I already have virus protection on Windows. What can I do to resolve this annoying problem...

You are infected with a Trojan or Malware. The pop-ups are bogus.. You are only infected with the product they are trying to sell you. What is the name of the Virus Protection they are trying to sell you? First thing to do is restart your computer in Safe Mode and run all your security scans. See it they find the culprit. If not post back,

I recently removed trojans off my mums computer and now its blockin the internet pages can not download or access facebook, message says that computer is not protected.

You still have the trojan. Tha's why they are called trojans, because they hide and re-appear.

Try at least five different scanners. But ultimately, you may have to re-install Windows.

Acer aspire one under virus attack

Your best bet is to do the following;
1 download either SuperAntiSpyware or MalWareBytes update via the internet and scan the disk (these are excellent and both Free)

2 Remove any Malwere they recommend

3 If the message still comes up download and run Trojan Remover - this will remove it.

Then make sure you are protected in future by installing an anti-virus system like (if you dont want to pay) Avira or Avast or if you do Kaspersky or Bitdefender
