Big black dot on main screen

I just got my LG ENV (silver) at the end of March 2008 and i have had nothing but problems with it. First. The outside screen has these weird lines going down it. They showed up out of the blue. Now. My main screen had a huge big black dot that takes up 1/2 of my screen. So I cannot read my text msg's unless they are on the front screen but then there are obnoxious lines, that appear to be worsening. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the black dot.

Well...unfortunately that cant be fixed. you can try a software flash, which would just require that u take it to a vzw direct store, and back up ur memory because it could be erased. otherwise, ur phone has a 1 year warranty, take it to a store or call tech support to get a replacement.

I have 2 LG env Touch phones and one has a broken outer screen and one has a broken inner screen. Can I combine them into 1 working phone? Any instructions available?

no you can't. Even though the screens are inside/outside, it is actually one conjoined screen. The whole screen needs replaced.

Purchased a LG Env at fleamarket, unable to unlock not yet activa

Go to the service menu. For the Silver you just press zero on the main menu, on the green and orange you dial ##program9900. To be more specific open the phone and hit <sym> 3, <sym> 3, p,r,o,g,a,m,9,9,0,0,<SEND>. The service code is all zeroes for all colors

Phone freezes whenever I press "End" key or the "Clear" button

Hey,
Thanks for nothing people. I figured it out myself. It turns out I had a miniSD card I had been using with my laptop in the phone and it was formatted in a different format that the phone didn't recognize (I use Linux on my laptop, and Linux uses different file formats then Windows). The different format must have caused the phone to freeze, because after I took the miniSD card out, the phone went back to working properly (unless smacking it on the table whenever it would freeze helped. lol jk jk). I hope this helps someone else who has trouble with a freezing eNV.

Screen cracked

Id contact LG for info on a replacement screen, might cost alot.

If you have warranty maybe that would save you, but im not sure does warranty repair something caused by the user.

Camera is black

Have you tried opening the camera's lens protector? I know it sounds silly, but it took me a while to figure out... Turn the Silver ring (with 3 dots) clockwise to open the protector, turn it counter-clockwise to close it. Keep it shut when not in use to protect the lens.

Did that help?

LG Front Display

Not sure what is wrong here. Obviously you or someone else has been playng with the settings of the phone and have changed things. Nothing is broken so nothing needs to be fixed.

Go into your; "Tools and Settings" Select "Display Settings" and you can schange things back in there
