Hi, I have a Jornada 720 that's almost two years old. This morning I turned it on and the screen doesn't work anymore; it's completely blacked out and you can't even tell the PC is on unless you tap the screen and listen for sounds. I've tried soft resets and hard resets but nothing works. Can you help?

I had the same problem, and i fixed, it's not totally true, the inners electronics components suffer damage with time, i think the hings and flex suffer needs to be cleaned with time, I follow the instructions at http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/cesd/h/0046.asp with to much care, an voila no more recallibrations needed,
As you may know, you cannot edit the PowerPoint presentation, but you can use it with an external display to make it look pretty good. HP no longer makes the VGA-out option, but does have a suggestion for an alternate
Well, if you really want to know where the screws are, they are under the "Hewlett Packard" and "720" labels on hinge of the display.
However, there seems to be some "screws and glue" fix available from HP to solve loose hinge issues. I'm not very sure abt this (could be for the 728)
