Question about LG 24 in. LDS 5811 Built-in Dishwasher

Dishwasher not responding to "power"

Our LG dishwasher appears to be dead in the water. No response from unit at a call for power. Checked to make sure it was plugged in. Checked circuit breaker. Checked outlet, 124v. Checked first connect for power.
And this is where it is new territory.

My LG LDS5811ST has worked fine for two years, last week it will not power on. No lights to the control panel. Breaker is good, power is reaching the dishwasher. How can you test the latch to see it that is the problem rather than the control panel?

Our dishwasher is about 2 years old too. It also does not turn on. If we open it really far and then push the on button it sometimes turns on and we can get it to run a load. Once it starts it's fine. However, it doesn't always turn on or goes back off when the door is raised or shut. We had the geek squad come out and change the control panel-didn't work. He put the old panel back in. Now we are waiting for a wire harness to see if that works. This has been an almost 3 week process with best buy and it's getting frustrating!

Almost exactly two years here too. Power to the unit tests OK. Door switches test OK. Dishwash will not power up so displays no error indicator in the display.

Also almost exactly two years in service.

    Power to unit tests OK.

    Door switches test OK.

Will not power up so no error display.

It is propubly the door switch, remove the door panel and sort the swith, see what is happening. If you are not familiar with electricity, please, DO NOT TAUCH IT.

Check the door switch. THis will kill all power to machine.

Whirlpool quiet partners II normal light flashing

A rapidly blinking LED over one of the keys of the keypad (or sometimes a "dead" keypad/console)
To determine if the control or keypad is faulty, do the following test:
1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Open the dishwasher door.
3. Open console and disconnect the keypad ribbon connection from the control (at P1).
Make sure all other connections are made.
4. Put console back together. Do not close the dishwasher door.
5. Plug in dishwasher or reconnect power.
6. Wait 5 seconds.
7. Close dishwasher door.
8. Monitor the control's response:
If the control is OK (no longer sees shorts with the keypad unplugged),
it will respond by turning on a Drain Motor for 2 minutes.
Check and/or replace the keypad if the control responds OK.
If the control is not OK (still sees shorts with the keypad unplugged),
then the drain motor will NOT respond and will remain off.
If no response, replace the control.

LG LD-2040WH Dishwasher problems: It appears the bottom spray arm of my dishwasher no longer rotates or sprays. I had to replace it several months ago and the new one has been fine until now. I removed it...

this dishwasher had many design flaws that generally cannot be fixed even with multiple service calls. lg has scrapped the design and replaced it with their "direct drive" line of dishwashers specifically to remedy the problems with stationary spray arms. my advice would be to replace the unit.

Dishwasher didn't drain - totally non-responsive panel

Hello , that wire is only a ground wire, it should be hooked up to the frame . The draining problem is the water pump not being powerful enough anymore to pull the water out. I think there are rebuild kits , but its not expensive to replace either. It would be a great saturday am project! Thanks , Quinn

Error code OE; dishwasher stops with error message 2 min into cycle, drainage seems OK, water doesn't appear to pump into machine - any advice?

The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
Good Luck!!!
