Re: When I attempt to take new picture, window indicates...
Format the memory card.
Formatting, deletes all images from a memory card, even the ones that may have been protected. It recreates the file system including new directories and folders where images are saved on the card

Are you saving the picture to the internal flash memory or an external SD card?
1) The internal memory will only hold 16MB of pictures, check if it's full.
2) The external SD memory can only be up to 1GB in size, anything bigger will not be recognized by the camera 1. Make sure the SD card is not "locked". Some SD cards have a little switch to prevent them to be written into. 2. SD card should be formatted by the camera preferably or as the FAT format in your PC.
Does this help you in any way? Please give us more information as to how you are saving them and/or any further questions you may have.
If all the pictures are on a memory card, format the memory card. If all the pictures are in the internal memory, remove the memory card (if installed) and format the internal memory.
Formatting wipes out all information from the memory card or internal memory and prepares it for further use. This is better than deleting individual pictures and will help prevent future troubles.
Hi,
You need to go into the menu of the camera and switch the pictures to go to the card memory instead of the internal memeory. The internal memory is very small and it is hard to get the pictures from there to the PC anyway...
There is a very easy way to download those pictures to your PC. Checkout this tip that I wrote about that.
You need to get rid of the pictures in the internal memory. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. Then, your card should work properly.
Take out memory card from camera, format internal memory to delete all pictures at once or delete them one by one. Once memory card is inserted in camera, internal memory is no longer available to store/ delete pictures so remove memory card from camera to get access to internal memory.
You didn't state whether or not you are using a memory card in your camera. If you are storing pictures strictly on the camera's internal memory and you have a high megapixel camera, it is quite possible that your memory is full. I have seen cameras with only 8 MB of internal memory which will hold very few pictures before giving you a "memory full" message.
