My sony KP-51WS520 blinks 9 time and once in awhile will power on, but lately it does nothing at all. To replace the parts you can try searspartsdirect.com. I tried to replace one part hoping it would fix the problem, but just ordered part A1054157A based on a recommendation of a different comment posted on this web site.

I'm Sony tech and can help you to solve your tv problem.
9 times led blinking error code in KDF-37H1000 indicates problem with exhaust fan that is not working properly, its either slow or does not spin.
Please check connector and voltage supply to exhaust fan and make sure its running freely to solve your tv problem.
Let me know if you have additional question.
There is some problme in G Board (power supply board) in your Sony KP-46WT520 tv that is why standby light blinks 9 times.
If you are handy with electronics stuff repair and can test/ replace parts in circuit board then let me know to provide you more technical info to fix tv problem.
Nine Blinks- Replace D6116 and D6301 on the "G" board, do not solder as this will fix the problem temporary. Or Panel Module Error or Thermal Error. If it is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning sometimes the TV comes on and other times you get flashing, then change the switching regulator on the "G" board or check connections. Make sure the regulator is -12 or -13 (negative).
I had the same problem. blinking 9 times, pausing, 9 times...... remote would not power the tv on. after five minutes of pressing the remote it finally would. after turning it off you would have the same problem. sometimes a half hour of pressing remote in every which what way. finally left the tv on for three days and would mute at nite to go to bed. didn't think that was the best way so turned it off and it never turned back on. checked all the forums and found out it was the g board. unfortunately, you cant buy the whole g board anymore. if you take the back panel off the tv, on the lower left corner is where the g-board is. there are 3 little things to unplug and two screws (phillips head) in the middle of the g board. its simple to figure how to take it out. go to the sony direct parts website. the part # is A1054157A for the g board. since they dont sell it anymore they have a phase 3 program where you send in your old g board and they repair it for 64.95. it'll cost about 8 bucks to ship it to them. better than the 400 bucks the tv guy wanted. address is sony customer satisfaction ctr. , materials door 27H, mount pleasant, PA 15666 there number is 866-748-8272. call first and they give you the step by step instructions what to do. after tax and shipping it came out to less than 80 dollars.even came with a warranty. got it back in a week, popped it in and just love turning the tv on. anyone can do it.
A common problem for this error code is D6301 on the G board leaking under a load. D6301 is a Pt# 10erb20 -tbs.. This is neither an expensive part or that difficult for a quality shop. Kind of a no-brainer repair... But getting at the G board might be difficult if you don't have the technical experience. Personally I'd recommend taking to a shop if you haven't repaired many of these Sonys before..
Have a great day!
