There is only a 30 degreee spread between the outside temp and inside normally....if the fans not running take the silver cover off the back of the uint...at the top of the unit there is a circuit board...on the left side on the board there is a 5 amp fuse thats probably bad. You'lll need a soldering iron to take it out and install a new one....i checked mine out...it draws 4 1/2 amps but its fused at 5amps....too close...i popped another fuse yesterday...maybe move the fuse up an amp or 2 in the future to 7amps or so.....hope this helps

Refrigerator side is not cold

The refrigerator side of the unit is cooled by the cold air from the freezer entering the refrigerator side through passages in the wall separating the two. Be sure there isn't any food items blocking these passages. Also check the coldness setting in the fridge.

Hdbc36id wont get cold

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it.
If it runs then that cold control is the problem.
If this doesn't work Do this

That is probably the compressor relay or cold control (Thermostat
The relay is on the compressor and needs replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.

Refrigerator cold but not cold enough. freezer

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.
