I cannot see how to open the case. I removed all visible screws and stand. I don't want to break it just fix it as you did.

I actually used a small screwdriver and used plactic shims to keep the case apart on one side while opening the other.
The noise it made whicle opening sounded like I was breaking it, but nothing was hurt. I replaced the capacitors and now it works.

Take something like a credit card and slide it along the seam holding one side apart while trying to pop the clips with the credit card. You will ultimately bend some positioning tabs but nothing critically to the montior.
