humming is dry water fill pump or seized pump which is humming and heating up. one pump performs both the fill and the wash jet pressure u could clog or jam a pump and make it hum if hard items such as a olive pit or other hard substance gets trapped on the way out. summery bad pump or jammed pump.
its located under the filer assembly and can be accessed way down by the floor behind the panel.
normally to check to see if its a jam I use an endoscope (tiny Camera on a wire) and shoot it up the drain from the sink side or down the inside of the washer where the water drains
nosolo, i descaled my machine with water and vinegar do you think i damaged my machine? I can't even get it to pump water, when i turn my machine on, it's silent, how do i descaled it again?
Hi. Is your pump working. Should be able to hear it. If its making a really loud noise then it could be an air lock in the line. Try using the hot water button to bleed the system. Also see if it will despence water wiyhout any coffee in handle. Dazza REPAIRER
yes,,, it is the water fill valve,, when it started to go bad the noises where from the pump, then it got quite now it is gone,, make sure you turn off the water supply before removing the unit,, only reason I am saying this is that I have even seen plumbers not turn off the water supply because they don't have hater goning thru and forget that why they are taking it out lol
the problem there a relay stuck or thermostat bring on the pump & you can lower your high limit aquastat!! also the flow valves can bypass hot hot water risers time to put in a seperate water heater domestic coil are not energy efficient !!!! aquastat high limit set @ 180f deg low limit set @ 140f deg!!!
good luck!!! tim
If your water pump isn't leaking or making a lot of noise (when the bearings go it makes a lot of noise, and it will leak),don't change it. Check the radiator cap, it could be shot, and it's a cheap fix. Next step would be to flush out the system. If u haven't done it in a long time, there could be a problem w/ rust and sediment plugging up the radiator, not allowing the coolant/water to circulate properly, causing it to overheat. Let me know how it goes. countrycurt0
