Question about Lexmark Z33 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Color printer I tried unplugging it and waiting and then putting the power cord back on. That did not work. I downloaded the driver from the internet because I did not have the disc that went with the printer (purchased used). Any other suggestions?

You can download software from Lexmark main site. Check that all leads are properly connected and that when you try to ptint a file the data is being transferred from pc to printer. Go into Settings/Printer/then right click OPEN. See if document is showing.

Hi,

I will suggest you try reset the printer, follow the instruction below to reset your printer, if the problem still persist, replace the cable that connects the printer to the power outlet. If that did not still fix the problem, you will need to reinstall the driver of the printer again.

1. Without turning the unit off, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
2. Press and hold # and 6 keys.
3. While holding those keys plug the power cord back in.
4. Wait until the screen goes blank before you release those keys.
5. Follow on printer screen instructions.

If that did not fix the problem, try this,
  1. Unplug the power cable from printer while the printer is powered on.
  2. Press and hold OK and HELP buttons while plugging in the power cord. Wait for the screen to go black or blank before releasing the keys.
  3. Just turn on the printer and configure your printer new.

If the machine works ok with the old cartridge back in the then new cartridge is faulty. It happens many times that new cartridges fail straight away. This is a particular problem with recycled cartridges and hp inkjects. Use a new genuine HP cartridge.

Hi Jeje,

The Printer has a fatal error. Please try the below steps, if it didn't work you have to service the printer.

Power Drain:

  1. Use the power button (c00636182.gif ) to turn the product off.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the product and then unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  3. Press and hold power button for 60 seconds (Discharges static power in the capacitors).
  4. Wait 60 seconds and then connect the power cord to the back of the product.
  5. Plug the other end of the power cable directly into a wall outlet. Do not use a power strip, extension cord, or surge protector.
  6. Use the power button (c00636182.gif ) to turn the product on.
  7. Try the print job again. If the lights still blink, continue with the next step.

NVM Reset:

  1. Remove the ink cartridges and close the door.
  2. While the printer is ON, unplug the power cable from backside of the printer.
  3. Press and hold "cancel" and "Start Color copy" button. While holding the button connect the power cable.
