Where is the scanner lock switch on the mx850

1) The Support Code b200 is an error message that may arise with the text which states "Printer Error Occurred", or "Contact the Service Center".

2) You will receive this message on your printer due to an electronic problem which may arise in the ink cartridges.

3) Open the top cover of your printer. Discard all the cartridges. Get rid of the printhead by lifting the lever which is placed just near the cartridge cradle, then take the printhead from the printer.

4) Re-insert the printhead back into its correct position, and ensure to lock the lever. Insert all the cartridges into their correct position, and confirm that there is no open door.

5) Unplug your printer cord from the electricity board, and keep it unplugged for a few minutes.

6) Let the printer cool down. Plug the printer back again.

Somewhere on the machine there is a lever that locks the scanner assembly in place for when it's transported. You need to look around all sides or under the top (when you raise it) you might find it along side of the glass.

This can be caused by dirt on the glass, as well as other things. Also, The fault can be with the scanner's imager strip, or the ribbon cable or
sockets from the imager to the circuit board may have a problem, or some
component(s) in the scanner circuits may have failed.

If the scanner is out of warrenty, and if it is not a very expensive
scanner, it may not be feasible to service.

Do you have more than one PC connected to the scanner? I have both a PC and a Mac connected to it, and I think my scanner is trying to connect to the Mac, which requires image capture software to be installed, rather than the PC. Don't know how to tell it to go to the PC, though...

Try Removing the printhead of your printer and putit back, and do the clean nozzles and printhead alignment.

Look carefully because it is a cassette on the bottom of your canon mx850... so the solution is: or you fill that cassette or you switch your canon (it is a button for that) to take the paper from the top...

r u already try reinstall your driver?if not, try it 1st and see the result..i'm afraid the driver is damages....try to download from canon support website in order to get the updated one...hopes it will help ; )

The feed switch changes the paper feed from rear feed to tray feed (paper tray is under the output bin). If you have paper in the rear feed, the green light should be on top of the printer icon left of the feed switch. If you have paper in the tray, the light should be on the bottom of the printer icon.

This is a common problem and an easy fix.
If you lift the ADF / top cover assembly up, you will see a small narrow piece of glass next to the flat-bed glass.

Ths is called a "Slit-glass". The only purpose is to read content from that point by the scanner, The Scanner will sit in the underside of it.

It is dirty. Wipe this with glass cleaner and a soft lint-free cloth. you may need to do this several times. Concentrate the part of the glass were this image problem is just by the orientation of the document you are installing with the direction of the document you are passing through the ADF.

It will take several attempts, but with each try, make a new test from the original document, unyil the problem disappears.
