Question about Kenwood KDC-X589 CD Player
I just took the Kenwood KDC-X589 stereo from my old pickup and installed it in my new one and the FM/AM stereo works perfectly makes noise etc but the CD player doesn't make a sound, it reads the disk and looks like its playing as the time ticks by and i can switch tracks but no sound comes out. I was wondering if there was some setting that got bumped on our how would the wiring even be messed up in a way that the stereo makes noise but cd player does not.
You have to change the cd read setting it might got set to cd read 2 it needs to be cd read 1 in standby mode press menu button scroll through with track button till you see cd read and set it to cd read 1 if not in standby mode try in cd mode same steps
