Depends on year make and model. Early 2000 models have a reset button on the dash fuse panel. Newer models don't have a reset button. If the tires are where they're supposed to be, the light goes off automatically. If the light stays on, most likely you have a bad wheel sensor.
look in the fuse box and find the fuse marked gauges. if it has a breaker instead of a fuse there will be a small black reset button on the top of what looks like a silver fuse.just push the button to reset and check your lights or replace the fuse with the same type. also check to see if your dash light dimmer switch is working properly.
Locate the "Red" reset button towards the top of the fuse panel, in the fuse panel on the side of the driver side dash. (Open driver side door and remove the fuse panel cover to access the fuse panel and the reset button)
1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position, but do not start the engine.
2. Press and hold down the "Reset" button until the "Change Oil" light starts flashing.
3. Then press and hold down the "Reset" button again until there is a chime or beep(s) and the "Change Oil" light should then go out.
4. Turn off the ignition, and then start the vehicle and confirm that the "Change Oil" light has been reset.
(May have to repeat the procedure to be successful)
Let me know if this procedure did not work for your vehicle as there are other procedures and depending on the type of system that is being used.
Press and release the trip/reset button until the oil life message is displayed. Then press and hold the trip/reset button until and chime is herd 5 times and reset is displayed in the message center. When the system is reset the odometer will be displayed in the message center.Turn the key to the off position. When you turn the key on if the change oil message is still there it did not reset.Retry again.Hope this helps.Good luck.
