Camera Zoom Feature

For the first two months zoom feature was working fine. For some reason, the zoom feature (trackball) stays on zoom 1X. Can not zoom in. Is there an option feature that I turned off accidently? Need help ... Thanks, Mike

Same thing here. We added 50 Blackberry's to our workplace and half of them have experienced this problem.

Thank you for the fix. The turning off, removing battery for 30 seconds and rebooting works like a charm!!!!

Had the same problem - the rebooting solution didn't work, Verizon suggested updating software ...went to the website and did so. Works fine now.

My phone was doing the same thing.....zoom feature not working. I turned the phone off and then removed the battery for approx. 30 seconds. I reinstalled the battery and the phone rebooted. The zoom function is now working. This should take care of your problem.

Try adjusting the sensitivity of your trackball. But if its not zooming, but you CAN selet different items on the menu(s), then I'd take it back to the store.

The same problem with me, i do a hard reset and it is fixed, simple isnt it?

To do the hard reset, just remove the battery for 1-2 minutes and restart the phone. This will reset the camera firmware to its factory default.

Can't zoom with camera. My trackball works fine for everything but when in camera mode and I try to zoom nothing happens. It stays on 1x

i had this issue a while back, have you pulled your battery out of the phone? if you have not, take the battery out and let it sit for minimum 2 minutes, i suggest longer but defiantly not shorter. Then put it back in. The blackberry is like a small computer and pulling the battery out is like doing a restart on the computer. You should pull it out at least once a month for optimal performance. Hopefully this helps.

ZOOM problem

Most likely there is a problem with servo drive for the lens and camera functions. The fix is to replace the complete processor board including the servo drive electronics. After replacement the board must be tested and calibrated.

Call Sony to see if the camera is worth to have serviced.

Quantaray 28-90 for Nikon N65 zoom ring locked up

There is no secret locking switch. If a little gentle jiggling doesn't free the zoom ring, then I can only suggest you take it in to a reputable camera shop for a Clean-Lubricate-Adjust (CLA).
