After the steering knuckle was fixed in my 2007 HHR, they broke the clock spring and almost right away the door locks began to lock and unlock on their own, even while driving.

what else did you have done that would have required the steering wheel removal
there is no connection between a steering knuckle ( ball joint ) and the steering wheel problems you describe

My horn quit working and airbag light came on after replacing starter and ignition switch. Help!! I have a 2001 dodge neon

I'm sorry but you may broke the clock spring connection from the column to the steering wheel.First make sure all the wire are connected under the dash after you work on ignition switch.
for clock spring disconnect the battery for 10 min.to discharge the SRS system.
turn the wheels and steering straight.
remove the airbag and store in safe place
remove the steering wheel
remove column cover
disconnect the clock spring and remove
installation in reverse order
the new clock spring have yellow lock tab. after removing the tab DO NOT turn the spring. the wire inside have limit of 2 1/2 turns each way.
good luck

2001 Town and Country Steering Wheel Radio Volume Switch Broke

The circuit for the switch goes through the clock spring contact is the likely cause of the switch not working, it is not connected to the wiring harness in the steering column that goes to the radio.

Turn signal handle

is it broken or not working? if it is broke you possibly have to remove the air bad steering wheel and clock spring to facilitate. once changed ensure your wheels are straight and recenter your clock spring or you will damage the wiring in it. then your horn and air bag might not work or will short out causing a fire or blown fuses of air bag.

I need a diagram for the steering column. I replace it with a used one and now my airbags light is on. I have no cruise control or horn. CAn you help me.

The clock spring in the new one you installed is most likely the problem. It is the part behind the steering wheel that the airbag, horn, and cruise controls plug into. It is very common on Chrysler minivans. Unfortunately it sounds like you inherited the problem with the used unit.

They are not that hard to replace. You will need a steering wheel puller. Sometimes you can rent them from your local auto parts store.

Disconnect the battery and wait about 20 minutes.

Remove the air bag from the steering wheel.

Remove the center nut that holds the steering wheel to the shaft.

Unplug the horn and cruise connectors from the clock spring.

Use the steering wheel puller to remove the steering wheel.

Unplug the back connector to the clock spring.

Remove the snap ring that holds the clock spring to the shaft.

Remove the clock spring.

Since the one on the old column worked you can reuse that one if you choose. I would pull the one on the new column first so you know what to expect when you remove the old one from the old column.

This is what the part looks like

I have a 1998 plymouth voyager, and i just replaced the rack n pinion, and now my airbag light is on, my horn, and cruise controls on the steering wheel dont work.

behind the air bag is what is called a clock spring, it supplies power to all of those functions, chances are when the rack n pinon was replaced the steering wheel was not locked and it turned too many times, and it broke the connection behind there. so chances are you will need a clock spring. if you had it done at a repair shop I would bring it back and have them repair it.
