Flashing envelope icon

the flashing envelope indicates a text message, either you have an unread text, or your text memory is full, if you have no unread text, then it may be full, go into your texts and delete all the ones you do not need to keep as all phones are different, how you do this may be different to mine, but try going into text messages and pressing the options and select delete. hope this helps

ok. you jsut chek sms on SIM and Flashing envelope icon will disappear

Ok, I had this problem just now and fixed it thru pretty much fluke..Check to see if Instant messenger is running in the background. Mine was and I couldnt get it to exit the program, and for whatever reason it was jamming all of my SMS...I actually realised this when i put my SIM card into another Nokia phone I had, and all of these txts came thru, but it wasnt readable because the file was *.msn file...so i figured it was the Instant Messenger getting bugged up. So I went back to my new Nokie E71 and deleted IM and now the txts seem to be working...i hope this helps!
