Question about Xerox Phaser 8500/DN Printer

Xerox 8550 exit cover close error

We have checked exit cover and close repeatedly can't get error  off. We have un-pluged it and pluged it back in. we can find nothing wrong with the cover?. PLEASE HELP cyndi_horses@yahoo.com

There is a small tab that actuates a cover switch that has broken off. Hard to determine. You can look for an opening with that cover open to determine where the hole for the switch is, you will find that the tab that goes through that hole is snapped off, you have to replace the cover.
You can call 1-800-835-6100 and order the cover if you do not have a maintenance agreement.

My Phaser 8500 will not print and has error 08,045,43:75066 - Anyone know what this means?


The Xerox support site indicates there is a paper jam to the printer, so you should check the paper tray, front and exit cover for any jammed paper then power off and back on the printer. Error code 09038.46:72241


That code is a back stick count failure.
You want to look in your ink loader, see if there is a stick jammed, twisted, broken or in anyother way out of place or hung up in the slot.
Be sure you loaded a 8550 stick also, since the shapes on the different phaser printer sticks are all different.
You may have to carefully remove the black sticks and reload them. You can take a screw and screw it into the ink stick, slide it back and remove.
Most likely you will find a gap in the ink sticks causing the problem. Here are the Xerox support page instructions.

  1. Open and close the Top Cover to resolve the problem.
  2. If the problem persists, arrange the ink sticks until there are no spaces between sticks of the same color.
  3. Check for non 8500/8550 ink sticks jammed in the ink load chutes. If non 8500/8550 ink sticks, whether manufactured by Xerox or by a non-Xerox ink vendor, caused the ink sick jam, contact support to place a service call.

Hi i have phaser 8560, it gives me a error 09,038,46:62248, plese who can solve me the problem.

The onlty thing I can find close to this is.
Acording to the manual its a ink loader error like your loading the wrong type of ink like the puzzles pieces arent matching and hitting the sensor flags right. Yours by the 8 is referring to the black ink. Anyway go to troubleshooting on the control panel. then to service tools. when in service tools press and hold the up arrow while still pressing the up arrow press the down arrow. the display should say hidden menus. go to diagnostic mode press enter go to funtion menu. then go to clear ISC fault and enter. ISC=ink stick count fault. I hope that helps. Just to let you know Ive had nothing but problems with third party ink and once its in the system its hard to get out so I would watch what im doing with my expensive equipment

Replace Panel in Xerox 8550 Color Printer - Close Exit Cover


Open that cover and look in the frame of the machine for an opening. Then look on the upper cover. There is an interlock switch on the machine. The plastic tab on the upper cover often times breaks off and will not actuate the switch, giving you that message.
You can fix it by gluing a paper clip onto the cover. Or call 1-800-835-6100 and order a new cover.

19,003.48 Scale and offset voltage error too large. Something is wrong with the Electronics Module or Wave Amplifier.

that is pretty straight forward. More then likely the elsctronics module has failed. Wave amplifier is pretty unlikely.
If you do not have a maintenance agreement or under warranty, that is a very expensive module to replace.
Check @ 1-800-835-6100 to see if you are under warranty or have coverage.
