Go to "Control Panel" then to "Add & Remove Programs" look for that "HP Redirecter" and uninstall it. It will be very obvious which one it is, also if you see any other "Redirecter" in there uninstall them as well.
Hope this helps.

My compac desktop will not power up. At first, it froze when it was running, so I turned it off. Next it powered up, but the icons on the desktop started shimmering and flickering, so I turned it off...

Fortunately for you, it is with fair certainty that the power supply has failed and despite the custom form factor, aren't that costly to replace. Once you have the supply, it will be a fairly simple DIY swap.
Another bit of luck is that they are not only cheap but readily available:

If you are concerned by unfamiliar tasks, take a few digital photos of the wiring placement for the supply to which you can refer if you get confused.

My HP Photosmart Printer keeps printing out a blank page between each page i want printed and i dont know how to fix it. Please Help its a pain fishing out blank pages.

    For windows XP & Vista
    -------------------------------------
Check the function after every step.

Step One: Power Cycle with printer

    1. Use the On/Off power button to turn off the printer.
    2. Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer.
    3. Disconnect the power cable from the electrical outlet.
    4. Allow the printer to sit for at least 30 seconds.
    5. Reconnect the USB cable.
    6. Reconnect the printer power cable.
    7. Turn on the printer using the On/Off power button on the printer

Step Two: Disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention).

Disable the Data Execution Prevention in Windows Vista and check by following the below steps:
    1. Click on Windows Icon.

    2. Control Panel->System->Advanced System Setting->Performance->Settings->Data Execution Prevention

It needs to be set to "Turn on for essential windows programs only", which is the default.

If you set it to "Turn on for all programs except those I specify", then the all-in-one driver stops working and you get blank pages.

    Alternate Option for DEP
    ------------------------------------
    Right Click on My Computer.
Select Properties, under the Advanced tab.
Properties --> Settings --> Data Execution Prevention.

Step Three: Check the option of Separator page.

Please refer the below mentioned web link for better understanding the steps with graphics.

Note: Clicking the link may give an error indicating it is invalid. If this occurs, copy the portion of the address on the remaining line(s) and paste it at the end of the address showing in your browser until the complete address.

Step Four: Print directly from printer
    Spooler bypass

    4. Click on Printer Properties
    5. Click on Advanced Tab
    6. Click on the option "Print Directly to the Printer"

Up until 2 weeks ago I was able to print PDF files on any printer from my computer, after an upgrade to Adobe Reader and Adobe 9.0 professional, I can click away on file print or the print icon and nothing...

You can try to restore your computer to a time/date when things worked correctly: Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore. This process is fairly quick.
