I have the same problem, and checked with Evenflo to find the parts are discontinued. Short of fabricating your own (which is what I will end up doing) I don't know what to tell you.

I have the same problem (missing the slide rods for the side rail). My crib is dated 8-15-96, and the parts are discontinued, save a couple of springs and screws. I am going to have to fabricate mine. I hope you have better success.

Be careful with used cribs as they can be quite dangerous.
I'm not sure if your idea will work,as both sides of the rail need to be raised up and down. Or do you mean that both sides of the crib go up and down?
If I had a picture it would help.lol
Make sure that if you can't fix the sliding rail that you leave it at the highest position so that baby can't pull itself up when he/she gets to that stage.
You could try finding another one(for parts) at a second-hand store, yardsale, etc.
Good luck.

Try calling the customer service number (212)-645-9033. I have not called them yet to get the conversion rails for our Delta Luv 5 in 1, but I'm hoping that they will know more than Babies R Us!!

Replacement parts for a crib

Try www.productsamerica.com they sell replacement parts and also conversion parts for older cribs. They are a little on the expensive side, but they are on the only place on the net that I could find for this.

Their number is 800-772-1041. You can call them and give them you make and model that they can match up what they have with what you need.

Hope this helps! Deanna

Missing pieces

This is from Bassett's website.

Bassett recommends that all cribs manufactured prior to 1972 be replaced because improved safety features were instituted that year. If your crib was made in 1972 or after, replacement parts are available from Products America at 1-800-772-1041. If you are unsure when your Bassett crib was made, Bassett urges you to replace it.
