Question about Computers & Internet
My Gateway Notebook that was purchased at Best Buy in Dec. 06 has a cracked left hinge. Last week when I opened it, it made a terrible noise and then hung and pulled up the back area behind the keyboard. It looks like it could break at any minute. I cannot adjust it without it hanging. Please let me know what can be done. Can it be fixed at the Geek Squad location at my local Best Buy? It is a Gateway Notebook - MX6958
The Geeks can probably fix it for your left arm. Try a small computer shop in your area, they will be much more reasonable. You can check this site for local shops. You can also fix this yourself, it's not too terribly hard. Below are a couple of links that have breakdown diagrams, you might find one for your machine there. Check Ebay for a replacement hinge.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
