Check the two green pico fuses F9A04 and F9A05 on the "Center Board" if either of those two fuses are blown then convergence ICs are the reason its shutting down with a 22 error code. The pico fuses look just like resistors but dont have color bands and they will be bright green.
I am guessing that you did the convergence menu
1.CONVERGENCE MENU "MENU 2159, 4 FINE, 5 COARSE, 6 MISC
2. There are Fuses F9A04 & 05 that may be open.
3. If you do the self test do you come up with 2-2?
4. Self-test on threads here or at ctechnicians.com
5. If one or both fuses open you will need to change convergence amps and parts.(Kit)

There are two 5 amp pico fuses on the same board as the IC the board location jmbers are f(A04 and F9A05 they are solid green and look like a resistor without color bands.
most likely the convergence Ics have failed. Check F9a04 and F9A05 pico fuses if they are blown you will need to replace them and the convergence Ics.They are located on the center board they are green and look like resistors without the color band. see the photo
If F9A04 and F9A05 are open the convergence ICs will need to be replaced as well as the two pico fuses. You will need two STK392-570 Convergence ICs and two 5 amp pico fuses. You ca get the replacement parts at the following link with free installation instructions. heres thelink. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
If you have an ohm meter, check the resistance from F9A04 to ground, and then reverse the leads and check F9A05 to ground. These supply +24 and -24 to the convergence integrated circuits. The conv ic's may be bad. Also, code 24 usually indicates vertical deflection failure as well. One other check to make.....The pic tubes on this set may leak a few drops of coolant onto the boards. Look VERY carefully for liquid drops on the boards or a green and or white corrosion spot or two on the boards under the pic tubes-near the front of the chassis.
Replace R8c21 & R8c22 (3.9 Ohm 1 Watt) Ic8c00 Stk393-110 Mits. Part # 267p155010 (Use Sanyo Original) Also Check F9a04 (5amp Pico Fuse) for open and replace if necessary.
