The liftmaster garage door outdoor keypad just flashes and does not accept a code. When I put in the correct code and push enter, it flashes and will not open. I have changed the battery and have attempted to change the code but it will not allow it.

If your other remote units work okay then your keypad has failed.

Make sure you are doing it like this.

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

Seems you've done everything right. Press and immediately release the smart/learn button and then walk over and key in a 4 digit code and press enter. If you are sure the battery in the keypad is good then I think your keypad is on the fritz or the wrong one for that opener.

The opener inside the garage works when you push the button, but the remote outside the garage door just keeps blinking once you put in the code

what model. Did you code the outdoor keypad? Hit learn button and code the keypad. If done correctly, light bulbs on motor head will blink once or twice.

Your keypad may be bad. If you press and immediately release the smart/learn button and then key in your 4 digit code and press enter the keypad should be working. Be sure you have a good battery. Actually the flashing of the keypad is indicating that it is sending the signal to the receiver. Holding the enter button in doesn't do anything extra.

Craftsman garage door keypad

The blinking on your keypad simply means that a code of some sort was sent. Whether it be the right on or not. Lets try to reprogram the unit. Press the colored learn button on the motor head and then within 30 seconds enter in the 4 digit code followed by the up/down action button. The light bulb should flash to let you know it has been accepted. Wait 5 minutes and try. If it does not work replace the keypad.
