When I click on my desktop items, a panel comes up saying '' Windows cannot find www.what ever the site is, Make sure you typed the name in correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click start, then click search.
The only ones it brings up when I click on them is, my hotmail, Adaware and Spybot.
I have to go to My Favourites, which come up straight away.
I will most definately say you have spyware infections. Even though you have the one listed I suggest to run this free one:
Click link: http://www.smcus.net/SUPERAntiSpyware.exe. after it is done and delete your issues you may have to make another user account (click on picture next to your name in Start menue) and move your files over.
Hope this helps!

This border on desktop icons can be created when the desktop items have
been locked, to unlock the desktop web items right click on an empty
area of your desktop. Now select Arrange icons by and uncheck 'Lock web
items on desktop' if it has a little tick next to it. If you did not
have a tick here then Right click on your my computer icon and view its
properties, now click the advanced tab and then on the settings button
under performance. Now on the visual effects tab scroll down the list
of effects to 'use drop shadows for icon labels on desktop' and put a
