We have the error code E000001-0002 which is because of a paperjam. We cleared the jam and can't figure out how to get to the menu to reset the board to show it is cleared.

E000001-0002 refers to the fuser assy either getting to hot or not hot enough. Fuser error codes cannot be reset by power cycling the machine even though that is what the display tells you to do. In order to reset the fuser error code you must enter the service mode & reset the code. To enter the service mode:
press"Additional Functions" button (looks like a picture of a head with a star inside)
press the #2 and #8 at the same time (simultaneousley)
press "additional functions" again
The display should show a choice of
copier,feeder,sorter,fax,or board service modes
Select copier
select clear
select ERR
press OK
Turn power off & back on.

After clearing error stay at the machine to see if it comes to ready. The fuser assy can reach 139 degrees C.(Water boils @ 100C) The error can only be cleared through the service mode because a technician should inspect the fuser to verify there is nothing faulty that could possibly start a fire. If you enter the service mode & clear the error, power cycle the machine & during warm up the machine throws a code again- turn it off, unplug it & call a tech for fuser repair.

You have to go into service mode to clear the error code. Your problem with your copier is possibley that you had a power surge or a drop in voltage and it coded out or the fixing unit is shorting out

Powering down and powering back up should clear the error after it initializes, if doing so does not clear the error then it most likely is an issue with the sensor that detects the paper... if this is the case, take the unit to a local service center that is authorized by canon.... or call them to get the local service center. The reason why you have to take this to a servicer is because the sensor is not user replacable.

or go to http://usa.canon.com to look for a service center

OKI b410d error 382

That is a paper jam code. Reopen the cover, and clear all paper jams. Close the cover, and then I would reset the machine by turning it off and on if the code continues. http://www.german-parts.de/oki_manual/paperjam/stau_b400_series.pdf

Xerox Phaser 8860 error 09,005.40:71198

I found the general information regarding this error code:
9,0XX.4x Ink Loader Faults
An Ink Loader error has occurred.
The following troubleshooting procedure applies to these
errors: This is where it can either be easy or expensive!

Initial Actions
• Check that the Ink Sticks are genuine Xerox.
• Check for obstructions in the Ink Wells.
• Check the Ink Loader data (P/J0150) and power (P/J5) connections.
• Verify the Ink Sticks advance in the Ink Loader.
• If the problem persists, follow the procedure below.
Primary Causes
The troubleshooting table lists parts and wiring referenced in the troubleshooting procedure.
Table 1 9,0xx.4x Troubleshooting Reference Table
Applicable Parts Wiring and Plug/Jack References
Ink Loader Assy, PL 2.0 I/O Board (2/2) - Figure 12
NOTE: Following Ink Loader Assembly replacement, or for Ink count flag stuck errors, clear the
Ink Stick Count (ISC) fault using the Clear ISC Fault menu item located in the Service Diagnos-
tics Function menu.

Check the ink areas for obstructions.
Turn off the printer, wait 30+ minutes for the inks to cool and set so the liquid wax will harden.
Remove the side panels and carefully reseat all connectors on the nvram board

Here are some of the error codes you may see and what they indicate:
9,000.44 The Ink Loader failed during operation.
9,005.49 The Cyan Ink Melt Heater is on, but no ink is detected.
9,006.41 The Magenta Ink Melt Heater is on, but no ink is detected.
9,007.42 The Yellow Ink Melt Heater is on, but no ink is detected.
9,008.43 The Black Ink Melt Heater is on, but no ink is detected.
9,015.41 Ink Loader Door opened to clear Cyan Ink Stick Jam.
9,016.41 Ink Loader Door opened to clear Magenta Ink Stick Jam.
9,017.41 Ink Loader Door opened to clear Yellow Ink Stick Jam.
9,018.41 Ink Loader Door opened to clear Black Ink Stick Jam.
9,025.41 Ink Loader Door opened twice to clear Cyan Ink Stick Jam.
9,026.41 Ink Loader Door opened twice to clear Magenta Ink Stick Jam.
9,027.41 Ink Loader Door opened twice to clear Yellow Ink Stick Jam.
9,028.41 Ink Loader Door opened twice to clear Black Ink Stick Jam.
9,035.41 Ink count flag stuck after melting 2.5 Cyan Ink Sticks.
9,036.41 Ink count flag stuck after melting 2.5 Magenta Ink Sticks.
9,037.41 Ink count flag stuck after melting 2.5 Yellow Ink Sticks.
9,038.41 Ink count flag stuck after melting 2.5 Black Ink Sticks.

I hope that between the reseating of the connectors and clearing the ink paths this issue can be resolved.

I had a paperjam. I successfully removed the jammed paper, but now the screen still says that I have a paperjam and won't allow me to use my printer

If you haven't already try removing the power cord from the back and wait 10-15 seconds and that will allow it to reset. Let me know what happens!

Hi there...we have an error saying paperjam - code=007. I have checked for paperjams and there doesnt visually appear to be any. What can you suggest?

When you removed paper from the machine, did it rip at all? If it did, a small scrap could have been left behind, causing the jam code. Depending on where the machine is located and who uses it, there might also be a foreign object lodged in it (like a staple or paper clip). If you think there is nothing in there causing the jam, try turning the machine off and turning it back on, and see if it still shows the jam.

I have a paperjam on my colour laser printer CLX 3170 and I dont know how to get to the paperjam inside the machine

Step 1
Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.
Step 2
Turn off the printer.
Step 3
Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
Step 4
Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
Step 5
If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.
Step 6
If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
Step 7
If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though.
Step 8
Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
Step 9
If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Inspect the paper path once again.

Were the heaters at fault. It is more like a thermister problem. Replace the thermisters, both. And I would also change the thermostat as well. When you are sure thatyou have removed the faulty unit reset by doing the following.. service mode/copier/function/clear/error followed byswitching the machine off and turn on again.

SHARP AR250 H5-01 Papersensordefective in the fusing unit

Normally you can clean the build up of toner off the sensor, and it'll sort itself out. It also could happen by having 5 paperjams in a row.

You might need to run a service mode to reset the machine:

P * C * 14 (start) then 1 for Yes and follow on screen directions, code should clear out.
