Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware.
Wizard.

Troubleshooting GPX 8 GB MP3 Player

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Where i can find the device to dowland music. my

you should be able to see it under the device tab in your Windows media player as well as if you double click your "My Computer" Icon it should show up in the removable media section on that page. With that said you must make sure it's compatible with your current operating system on your computer.

How do you know it is charged? If you can connect and see it on a PC, backup your music, before doing anything.

Download that. It contains a firmware update that is meant to fix the "file sys err" problem. I got it directly from the Coby website and it works perfectly.

Try copy and pasting the music files directly onto your MP3. It should play. Thats how I did it on my phone and the music plays fine.

Music not playing

Thank you for posting your problem on here. Have you attempted to replace the batteries in order to figure out if that will fix the problem? Another tip is to take out the batteries for a full minute, then put them back in. If that still doesnt work some time deleting a few items might also create a solution since the memory might be too full and not work at all.

If those still do not fix the problem you can always contact the manufacturer directly for any software updates that might fix this problem as well.

Synchronize your music subscription....

The music files that you have transferred are in WMA format - when your music svc subscription expires, or the licenses on them expire, then you will get this annoying message. Convert the files to mp3 format, and you will never have that problem again.
