Re: my asus laptop wireless switch does not work
You may have deleted a program that a driver or utility needed in order to function. You can try a hardware search from the device manager, but more that likely you will need to download and reinstall the drivers for the wireless from Fujitsu's support site.

The wireless button is located at the top of the keyboard use the FN key and press the symbol marked for looks like a signal icon colored blue that is what the FN key is for the blue marked keys. Hold FN key and press that. Should indicate activated......John
The switch on most laptops is on either side or at the front. Sometimes it will be a switch to slide, or it might be a button to press.
Some laptops may not have a switch at all. In this case there will normally be a set of key strokes that you will have to hit to toggle the wireless ON and OFF.
Usually you will have to Press and Hold the FN function key then hit the Key that controls the wireless (F1 thru F12). The correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless will normally have the wireless icon )))).
Have you tried using the function keys? There is a row of keys at the top labeled F1 though F12, they also have symbols. Find the one that looks like one of these, press and hold the function enable key that is like at the bottom of your keyboard and then select the button you found in the top row.
Make sure that driver is installed properly. If it is, check for wifi switch. Make sure it is turned on. In some laptops do not have switches, they use the functions keys to turn them on. Use Fn+F2 or Fn+F3. Also, make sure that you just have one wireless utility activated in the computer. It is more advised that you use the Windows Wireless utility which is more compatible with most types of routers.
Lastly, check your wireless card and the wireless router if they are wireless a,b,g or n. If the router is wireless n, your card should also be wireless n. If your card is just b or g, it would not work.
On your Laptop, there's no dedicated key/button for wireless as other Toshiba Satellite. There's a hotkey function. Press Fn+F8 (simultaneously) to activate the wireless and press the same keys to deactivate.
When you look at the F8 key, you'll see the wireless symbol (something like tower).
on some compaq laptops the wireless switch is on the side of the laptop! look for a button! also some laptops have a wireless symbol on one of the f keys if you find the symbol on the f keys then you click on the fn and the f key with the wireless symbol at the same time!! that should work!
well you erased the drivers for the fn keys and the wireless go to the manufacturer website and type the model of if possible laptop or motherboard and download the drivers for wireless and media controls
do you have an Fn button(function) the letters Fn are usually a different colour. If so you need to hold it down and then press the wireless button. The wireless button should have the same coloured letters or symbol looks like an aerial
