It needs to be installed sloping slightly outside. It is not meant to be level. Use boards or whatever to do this. If this doesn't solve the problem the drain channel is plugged. Take off the outer case and look at the bottom there should be some kind of channel from in front to the back. Use a turkey baster or something to flush it. The back may be fairly deep to hold some water. Don't drill a hole. Some units keep some water in the back so the outside fan can throw it through the condensor to help cool it.

Why does it keep spitting out water?

Air conditioners are also dehumidifiers. It is normal for water to come out the back of your AC unit. If the AC unit is not installed level or the drain is plugged, water can go where you do not want it to go.

Should you keep a spitting ac on or off?

Check the your A/C unit to make sure it's level (or at the incline recommended by mfgr.) Most units are water-tolerant, but you don't want to worry about your windowsill or floors getting moldy.

Spitting sputtering

Your water solenoid is sticking. It is drawing air back through it when off then the pressure of the water is keeping it open. I would replace the solenoid valve.

My jimmy will start and idle just fine however when I start to drive it,it sputters and spits then stalls out. when I restart it I have to floor it to get it to start again. if I rev it to about 6-8000...

i would suggest changing the fuel filter if this does't work check the fuel pressure. and get a mechanic to check the ecu fault codes. as this could be caused by a electronic fault.

Water in air conditioner

A lot of the newer window units design the outside fan to pickup the condensate water and sling it onto the coil. The evaporative effect makes the unit run more efficiently. They ususally don't spit, but if the unit is running well, otherwise, I would't worry about it.

Ac. spits out water in the front and ac., is tilted back ,gets worse as it runs

You need to blow into the drainpipe on the outside of the building to clear the blocked drainpan outlet. This just to make sure that your drain is clear. If the problem persists. Check that the filter is clean. This can also happen if you are slightly short of refrigerant and running the aircon at 18C or lower on a humid day.

Vacum will not pick up

Due to the way carpets are made - new carpets sometimes have a lot of loose fiber. This is NORMAL and it may take 3-5 times to vacuum the carpet till it goes back to normal. Spitting out fuzz balls is a bit weird. Make sure you have the belt installed right - see video on www.goodvac.com. but the fact that belts keep breaking I am assuming that you have them installed right. Give it a few more belts and if the problem presists - let me know.

Vicks caporiser is spitting water instead of steam

Clean the unti - and do not add salt. I live in a major hard water city...and was amazed at how much dirt the tank collected. I tried adding salt to to stop the spitting, which did make a lot more steam, but did NOT stop teh water spit. I also noticed, with salt added, water in tank would only last 4-6 hours, not the 18-24 hours it should. I just figured it out, and now mine works great again, and does not spit. I cleaned the water tank throughly, several rinses, then wiped out entire inside. If you want it to work like new, you have to keep your tank as clean as new. I am going to start filtering my water that I put in with a double pantyhose I made simply so there no more dirt ~ a clean tank will fix the problem, it did mine :)
