Question about Epson Stylus Photo R320 InkJet Printer

Lines through printed picture

A small bead became lodged in the printer. I removed the bead and searched to make sure that there were no others in the printer case. Unfortunately, it will not print the picture correctly. Could the printing roller have been damaged in the process of removing the bead? I don't know what to do to repair the problem. It was a great photo printer until this problem.

Because it is an inkjet printer you may have to replace the printer cartridge(s).
There is probably damage to the applicators on the cartridges.

Lines on printout of pictures

Here's some thoughts that may or may not help you. =)

You could double check the Print quality and make sure it's at the highest. If the printer head is removable, you could take it out and clean any build up gunk on there. Sometimes it build up around the edges of the printer head.
If it's an old printer it may just need a new printer head. But they are not really worth replacing since they cost as much as a new printer. Not much else you can do other than have the printer self clean itself.

When printing or photocopying the paper is getting jamed. It starts to take the paper then the paper goes in at an angle

If it goes in at an angle, there are several possibilities. First, taking a small flashlight look closely at all the paper paths. You will need to remove the printer toner cartridge and look at all the rollers for the smallest of paper bits that may be stuck. Check to make sure the rollers does not contain any sticky substance on them that would attract the paper to adhere to it. Generally open all doors that is available on this model and search for paper lodged. I would then reboot your printer and see.

Paper lodged in printer. First green light on printer flashing. Then the printer was not printing. It sent paper thru blank. Then in took in about 12 pages at once and became lodged???

Turn off printer and computer, remove logged in paper, turn both on again and try to print anew.

That should do it.

Good luck & God bless!

Out of paper signal comes on when he paper trey is full and rear door closed. Printer will not print.

Sounds as if there's a small piece of paper lodged in the paper detection mechanism. Try searching with a flashlight to see if you can find it. Remove all of your paper and check way in the back.

I have put my minut SD phone photo memory card into the Smart Media slot.Help! Please is there any way to remove it?

I'm guessing you put your micro cd card in a sd slot without the adapter? This is a trick you can do to remove something that is no lodged in there too bad. You may have to go an auto parts store for this but it should work. Take a paper clip and open it. On the end, you need to snip off a small piece of tire plugand pull it down the wire a little but make sure there is a small bead at the end. Now insert into the slot gently and try pulling back bringing the card with it. The tire plug material is very sticky but won't leave any residue to gum up the works.

Unabe to print 36 message when trying to print web pages

Finally resorted to smacking the **** out of it and now it works wonderfully. Apparently the real problem was a tiny scrap of paper that had gotten lodged in a section of the paper feed that can't be seen, and whacking it shook it loose.

CX6600 prints black lines through out documents

In this case what i would request u to do is....... Take out both the catridges from the Printer......... Take 2 Paper Towels one should be wet with Luke warm water and the other one should be dry........... Take the Colour catridge first turn it upside down and u will see a small copper plate on the catridge from where the ink comes out....... Place the wet paper towel using ur thumb on the Copper plate and press it a lit bit for 10 Seconds...... Now remove it and see whether u see any ink on the paper towel.......... U should see some ink on it now place the dry paper towel on the ink catridge in the same way........ Now do the same procedure again.......... Do the same procedure twice on the Black Catridge................. Now take the dry paper towel and turn the direction of the cartridge so that u can see a Copper plate on it with small boxes just clean that copper plate with the Dry Paper Towel.......... Now try to Print it should work fine.......... Still same Problem Catridges Defective......... Good Luck...........

Papaerjam lite stays on, no paper jam

It is possible that there may still be a small piece of paper blocking or lodged in the exit sensor area. It is also possible that when removing the jammed paper that the sensor arm became dislodged and thus creating a false jam code.

Toner and Paper problem..

Obvious you have some restriction in your printer somewhere. a small paper lodged in your printer. Clean it well rolling the rollers checking the gears to see if something small has gottin lodged somewhere. Be care to place the toner right back into position as it was removed. It must fit snug and be in line perfectly.
