The sool is making a crunching noise and is sticking and won`t sew

  • Anonymous Dec 18, 2010

This sounds like the timing has slipped. There is no real easy fix... my question is this, "Are you mechanically inclined?"... and do you have a basic understanding of how a sewing machine operates internally?".. the answer to these 2 questions will give me a better idea of how to go about giving you the directions on diagnosing and repairing your machine....okay. Do not be embarrassed to admit to not knowing anything or no knowledge of the inner workings of a machine. I do not judge people on such matters, all I ask is for you to be honest so I can give you clear and concise directions with out boring you with the mundane or obvious, if you already know it.

    Thanks

If you mean spool, then it may be inserted wrongly or there may be broken threads stuck in the raceway causing it to jam. The thread should also be running clockwise in the bobbin

Touch and sew 750 model

You need to make sure that there is a "leader" coming out of the bobbin before it will properly thread, about two to three inches, once it comes out of the cover plate, pull it back to the rear of the machine so that it won't stick inside. Let me know if that helps. 7_16_2013_10_30_14_pm.jpg

I have a Hyundai 8 stitch sewing machine and have great difficulty sewing with it. The thread keeps bunching up underneath and misses a lot of stitches. I have followed instructions, both threading up

here is a suggestion for the skipped stitches
Skipped stitches
1. The needle is not inserted correctly
Remove needle & reinsert needle( flat side towards the back of machine)
2. The needle is damaged
replace with new needle
3. The wrong size needle is being used
Choose a needle to suit the thread & fabric
4. The foot not attached correctly
Check & attach correctly

and since it stops with a crunch,, I suggest having the machine
checked to see why that happening

Babylock Esante stopped. Just makes loud noise but won't move even manually.

You probably have a jam. Start digging under the bobbin area.

If you get it all cleaned up under there... and it still won't move. Time for service by a pro. Could be something horrid like a bent shaft.

Good luck

I have kanmore sewing machine its not stiches at all one time noise & stop stiches thered not pick up for bobin its not come out.

Wow. If I understand your attempt at English. Your machine made a noise and now won't sew or pick up the bobbin thread.

First change your needle and make sure it's full inserted and correctly oriented in the needle bar. Do a test stitch on scrap fabric.

If you still have problems.. check the timing. The shuttle hook should just be starting to pass the needle scarf when the needle is at the lowest point of travel.

I hope that helps you. Good luck.

Clanking noise & won't sew

Are you sure you put the correct type of needle in? Normally, if you have any problem, cleaning and oiling will fix it. It sounds like you either didn't tighten the needle screw or you put the wrong type of needle in.

Why won't this machine work

Bobbin case might be jammed in an odd position or thread is locking mechanism and wont move hence "the buzzing" sound

Singer Confidence Model 7470 bobbin jammed, needles breaking, now won't sew

Sewing machines will get out of time, often as a result of broken needle. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service, otherwise it will simply continue to break needles and possibly damage the machine.
