When the Dishwasher is not filling in, you'll need to check for the water inlet valve, the filter screen and the float switch/assembly. Also check for the float assembly inside the dishwasher. When water is filling your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If these are fine then it's due to Water Inlet Valve. Use a multimeter and check for the continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

The response rate on FixYa FREE questions is usually over 80%, but sometimes questions go un-answered when: 1. the question is unclear, incomplete, or poorly worded... 2. the question is mis-categorized - so the correct experts aren't viewing it... 3. the question requires an answer for something that cannot be explained online adequately... 4. specific training, tools, or equipment are required to avoid injury or death... 5. the Experts that are online simply don't have the resources to answer your question fully...
Please feel free to re-work your question if you feel one of these may be the reason. Of course you are not required - but converting your question to a PAID one usually increases the reply rate as well.

If it's any help then here is the link to the user manual (when you download it it applies to bdw13 as well even though it is labelled for the bdw14)
Best I could come up with is to try page 19 at the bottom of the "dishwasher doesn't run" section - there are two different types of reset which may do the job.
Hope this helps :)
