Try a hard reset too. To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset.

Un lock my pasword

Which is it a 2 gb cruzer or 1000 gb ??

USB flash drives are small, convenient storage drives. Place data such as pictures, photos and text on them quickly and efficiently and then carry it to another computer for copying to its hard drive.

A USB flash drive that has security enabled in it must be 'unlocked" before it can be used, which becomes difficult if the password has been lost. Because the security on the USB flash drive is rudimentary, a number of methods, from built-in software to optional programs, can remove the security so that the drive can be used.

Plug the USB connector of the USB flash drive into a USB port on the PC. Right-click on the icon of the USB flash drive when it appears on the desktop of a Windows-based computer. Select "Format" from the pop-up menu. Follow the command prompts in the window that appears to format the USB flash drive. Click "Done" in the confirmation window when it appears. The USB flash drive can now be used because the security has been removed from its storage space. Plug the USB connector of the USB flash drive into a USB port on the Mac. Double-click on the Mac's Disk Utility program, which comes free with the OS X operating system and is in the "Utilities" folder on the hard drive. Select the icon of the USB flash drive in the left column of the Disk Utility program's main screen. Select the "Erase" tab at the top of the Disk Utility program's main screen. Click on the "Format" check box on the right side of the Disk Utility program's main screen. Select "Fat (32)" from the drop down menu below the "Format" check box. Click "Format" at the bottom of the Disk Utility program's main screen. Click "Format", again, in the confirmation box that appears. Quit the Disk Utility program when the formatting is done. The USB flash drive can now be used because the security has been removed from its storage space. Download a password protection program to the computer's desktop; for example, the free TrueCrypt password protection program (see the link in Resources). Double-click on the icon of the password protection program when it has fully downloaded. Follow the command prompts to install the program onto the computer's hard drive. Restart the PC after the installation has been completed. Double-click on the password protection program to launch it. Wait for the password protection program to recognize the USB flash drive and display disc letters for the drives attached to the computer in the left column of its main program screen. Plug the USB connector of the USB flash drive into a USB port on the computer. Wait for a letter to appear in the left column of the password protection program's main screen. Use the mouse to click once on this letter which represents the USB flash drive. Click on the "Volume" or "Volume Tools" button to open a new window. Click on the "Next" button in the new window. Erase the password in the "Password" column of the new window that appears. Erase the password in the "Confirm password" column. Click on the "Next" button to go to a new screen. Select "Traveler Disk Setup" from the drop down menu below "Tools" at the top of the password protection screen. Click on the "Open Explorer window for mounted volume" check box in the new window that appears. Click the "Create" button at the bottom of the window. Click the "OK" button on the confirmation window when it appears. Quit the password protection program. Drag the icon of the USB flash drive to the Trash or right-click on it and select "Eject" from the pop-up menu. Remove the USB flash drive from the computer's USB port. Plug the connector of the USB flash drive back into the computer's USB port. Double-click on the icon of the USB flash drive when it appears on the desktop to open its window now that the security password has been removed. Plug the USB connector of the USB flash drive into a USB port on the PC. Go to "Start" and select "Run" from the pop-up menu. Enter "regedit" into the text column that appears and press the "enter" key to run the registry editor. Press the "Browse" button on the registry editor's main screen and navigate to the following path on the computer's hard drive: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies" Click "OK" to close the window. Double-click on the "WriteProtect" text that is in the right column of the registry editor's main screen. Enter "O" into the "Value Data box" in the window that appears. Click on the "OK" button to close the window. Quit the registry editor program. Restart the PC. Double-click on the icon of the USB flash drive that is on the desktop to open its window and access the files now that the security write protection has been removed. Hope this helps

My playstation turns on and the green light comes on but it turns to flashing red in about three seconds. It never comes up on the screen

It could be a failing hard drive...Try to remove the hard drive from the system and restart it without the hard drive if you can at least get to the main menu then it is your hard drive that is causing the problem.

Hi.when i turn on my ps3 it freezes at the main screen.please say i dont have to buy a new 1,i dont have the money. :(

Ok, if it is simply the image that is freezing and it is still staying on then there is hope for the PS3.
If however it is turning off with 3 beeps and flashing the red light then that is serious.

Please try the following if it is just the display freezing :

Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)

Press and hold the power button. It will beep when you first press it, beep again 5 seconds later and then beep one more time and turn off into standby mode (red light on)

Release the power button

Press and hold the power button again. It will beep when you first press it, beep again 5 seconds later and this time there will be 2 quick beeps together. Release the power button when you hear these 2 quick beeps.

The PS3 will start up asking you to connect the controller via USB and press the PS button. Do this and then continue.

After doing the above a menu will load with 6 options. Choose option 3 "Restore File System". This will re-install the PS3 software if it has become corrupt. Ignore any messages about corrupt hard drive, this is normal. If this step does not work try the above again but select option 4, then 5 if that doesn't work.

One of these options should get your PS3 up and running again.

My playstation 3 refuses to start up. When turned on it reaches the main menu but freezes up. Then the system flashes a yellow light and shuts down to a red light. I want to get my ps3 up and running...

2 days ago i got the yellow light of death when the 2.50 update came out rendering my ps3 to a 500 dollar paperweight.
I contacted sony about my problem and my console is under warrenty so it would be fixed for free so it didn't bother me to awful bad
the are sending me a box right now but i have fixed the yellow lights on my ps3 myself and it works now without a hitch
What i did is i took my 120 gb hard drive out of my ps3, Saved it to my cpu tower and did a full format of that drive
then i took my hard drive and put it back in my ps3 and it ask me for the system software 2.50 disk so i downloaded the 2.50 update off of the ps3 website installed it and boom my ps3 work like new
this worked for me so far and have been playing my console for 6 hours now with out a hitch
maybe this will work for some of u aswell

No picture, sound or menu on PS3

Try booting the PS3 with the hard drive removed from the drive bay ( on the side) you just remove the small plastic piece hidding it and remove one screw. It's easy. Let me know what happens. Also make sure you also plug in the original red white n yellow cables too to check if it's just an hdmi issue or system wide.

Only Green Lights PS3 dont turn on

Usually the "red light of death" on the PS3 as it is called by some people is due to hard drive (HDD) connection errors. Here are a few things you can try to do to fix it and get your console working again as intended, just check out this short video I made (it's less than 4 minutes and contains useful pictures etc)

For more information and advice on how to fix your console, if that does not do the trick for repairing your system, check out my PS3 red flashing lights repair blog.

Hopefully you get your PS3 working again ASAP!

Menu will not show up

Yes you can!
TRY THIS cmfin and trey!
Shut the system off in the back then un-plug and re-plug all cords.
Turn the power on in the back.
The ps3 should have a red light on in the front.
Push and HOLD the power button in front!
It will go through a red light to green beep at you then go back to red.
This should HARD reset it.
If you have ever changed tvs or played on a different tv the ps3 will sync itself to that tv.
SO a regular tv is different then my hdtv so it would need to be reset to play on a different tv!
I hope it helps!
