I Couldn't find out it's driver

3 com NIC card is universal plug & play device.
Please restart the computer once you insert it.
If still persists, update the driver from

"C:\Windows\system32"
All the best!!

Clean XP Pro installed -- now NIC disappeared!

Well once you did a clean install over all of Dell drivers etc etc. You wiped out the restore artion that was on the computer. You have to go to Dells website and under the support tab look for the Nic card that you have inside the computer.
