I was using MSN and then, Skype with my Microsoft LifeCam. The audio was not muted. I tested the audio before using it. I did manage to hear the person when the video was not used. When we tried it with the video the sound disappeared.

OK so you have skype loaded... we can use that to test your system

start skype,

Tools, options,audio settings

the top grah is the audio INTO your system. Check to see if the green bar changes with you speaking into the mic.

If not check the dropdown and select the lifecam if it is available, else try any other options there and test as above and post back results

BTW what is the connection speed of your internet?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Make sure that you have the Microphone pointed to your webcam within SKYPE. I know that with Ventrillo you need to set it up to see the device within the program. I would look for options within Skype.

No sound

You will have to set the logitech webcam up to the medium you are using yahoo...msn. This is done after the software is installed.I don't use yahoo but on msn open it up then go to tools on the msn page at the top above all your contacts.Open the tools and go to webcam setup, click on it and follow the steps. This will get the mic working. It took me awhile to realize you had to do it twice once for the software setup and again to set it up to mate to MSN.

Audio on logitech quickcam notebook webcam not working

go into your settings, look for sound and audio devices?go into the audio file, and look for default device and look for your sound card which should be in the column, all 3 should read the same,if not just schroll down and find them,go into advance and put all the settings to full, then go into volume and advance, right click on options, then go into properties and look for mic volume and tick it,and if you then go into your msn, there should be a program thats tests your mic for you.ok?
