Question about Yamaha HTR-6090 Receiver
I am trying to hook up a projector 20-30 ft away using HDMI and I am not getting a signal, but I do get an HDMI signal within 6 ft of receiver. Are there limitations to the distance this receiver can push a signal?
I purchased a Tripp-Lite HDMI signal booster and that gives me a picture that goes in and out. I just upgraded to the most recent firmware for the receiver. When I connect the same cables straight from my Dish DVR I get a clear picture (as well as sound although I am not concerned with sound to the projector). Let me know if there is a different tech support division I should contact.
The problem you are haveing may be the cable you are useing,if you can get a loan of a QEDor CHORD CO. cable try these, the chord co. cable comes with a line driver built into it and may solve your problem. Most cables for hdmi dont like 6 meters or over but i have had no problems with the chord co. or qed cables.
hope this helps.
